Earlier today, the cast of Matilda the Musical got the chance to speak live with an astronaut on the International Space Station via satellite hook-up provided by NASA. During the event, Astronaut Tom Marshburn (brother-in-law of cast member John Sanders) got to chat with some of the kids and adults from the Tony nominated show. Matilda the Musical, produced by The Royal Shakespeare Company and The Dodgers, will open on April 11, 2013 at Broadway's Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th Street). The four girls sharing the title role are Sophia Gennusa, Oona Laurence, Bailey Ryon and Milly Shapiro, each of whom will be making her Broadway debut. The Royal Shakespeare Company and The Dodgers today announced the casting of the title role in the RSC's eagerly anticipated Broadway-bound musical Matilda the Musical. Each of the four girls will play the role at difference performances: Sophia Gennusa, Oona Laurence, Bailey Ryon and Milly Shapiro. Each girl will be making her Broadway debut.
