Out of the Box Theatrics' Founding Artistic Director, Liz Flemming announced today that Tony Award-winner Alice Ripley will return to the role of Trisha Lee in their production of Elise Forier Edie's The Pink Unicorn in collaboration with Nancy Manocherian's the cell (338 W 23rd Street) Tuesday, August 13 through Sunday, August 25, 2019. Directed by Amy E. Jones, Ripley initially played a critically acclaimed limited engagement of the production, which was ultimately extended, in May 2019. Tickets currently on sale.

Cue Zero Theatre Company, winner of NH Magazine's Best of NH 2019 Best 'New' Theatre Company, will throw a celebration party of their incredibly successful first season and will announce their second season plans at Jupiter Hall, located at 89 Hanover Street in Manchester on August 3rd.

FX today announced the cast that will star in the pilot for Gone Hollywood. Set in 1980, Gone Hollywood centers on a group of talent agents who defect from an old-guard percentery to found their own, which skyrockets to industry dominance, disrupting the business and changing movies forever. The show will mix its fictional protagonists with real-life entertainment figures and events.

The Flea Theater is proud to announce the addition of six new Resident Directors to its intensive practicum for early-career directors. Rebecca Aparicio, Jake Beckhard, Daniella Caggiano, Lauren DeLeon, Will Steinberger, and Raz Golden will join the current group of Resident Directors.

Cue Zero Theatre Company has been selected by the editors of New Hampshire Magazine as 'Best of NH 2019' in the Best 'New' Theatre category. Cue Zero was awarded in honor of their emphasis on working with new talent, new materials, and finding new ways to represent and communicate the craft and joy of theatre. The winners will be celebrated at the Best of NH Party on Thursday, June 27, at Manchester's Northeast Delta Dental Stadium from 6:30 p.m.-9 p.m. Proceeds from the event's ticket sales will benefit CASA of NH.

Hancock Whitney Broadway in New Orleans at the Saenger Theatre announced its 2019 - 2020 season line-up of shows, headlined by the six-time Tony Award and 2018 Grammy Award-winning Best Musical DEAR EVAN HANSEN and also includes MEAN GIRLS; A CHRISTMAS STORY, THE MUSICAL; MISS SAIGON; Roald Dahl's CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY; ANASTASIA; and FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. I had the pleasure of seeing A Bronx Tale with my friend Cassy, who had NEVER seen a musical before! (I know, right?!) I invited Cassy because the 1993 movie, off which the musical is based, is her favorite. Seriously, her cat is named Calogero, after the lead character in both the movie and the play. I was excited to see this show, and especially excited to see it through the eyes of a neophyte theater goer. I was not disappointed!
