Theatre is back for everyone, including some real-life felines who were treated to their first viewing of their theatrical namesake, Cats!

It's been a while since the Ronacher Theatre in Vienna invited us to the Jellicle Ball. Six months, two weeks, and one day later, after the whole country went into a never before seen Lockdown. CATS is back, the theatre is back, a glimpse of light in these dark and unpredictable times.

BroadwayWorld has learned that the CATS National Tour has officially closed. Donna Vivino (Grizabella) shared the news in a Facebook post.

In 1985 a music video was released for The Rum Tum Tugger, from Cats. The video aired on MTV, and featured Terrence Mann in the role.

Video essayist and YouTuber Lindsay Ellis has created an hour-long video, attempting to explain CATS.

The Cats film is now available on digital platforms as of today, March 17.

The Broadway musical CATS scheduled for March 27-29 at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center has been postponed.

Governor Eric J. Holcomb has issued an order to cancel or postpone gatherings of 250 persons or more. As a result, Broadway in Indianapolis will postpone all performances of CATS scheduled between March 31 and April 5, 2020 at Clowes Memorial Hall.

Andrew Lloyd Webbers show based on T.S. Elliotts Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats is still a record-breaker. The current Viennese production is playing in front of a full house seven times a week. The national tour of the megamusical phenomenon, Cats, stopped at Thalia Mara Hall in Jackson, Mississippi as a part of the Broadway in Jackson series presented by Trustmark on February 13th and 14th to show audience members exactly what the lives of Jellicle cats look like, specifically on the night of the all-important Jellicle Ball.

BroadwayWorld has learned that WICKED Broadway alumni Donna Vivino will go past the Russel Hotel to the Heaviside Layer as Grizabella on the CATS tour beginning February 2020.

What about the alleycats that we pass on the streets? With eyes that track our every movement. The times where I am walking my dog at night, they crouched amongst the bushes with an arch back and ready to pounce. To help us better understand these elusive beings, 'CATS' has returned to the Sands Theater, Marina Bay Sands!

Celine Dion visited the CATS tour in Toronto and met up with the cast following a performance at Toronto's Princess of Wales Theatre last night!
