Axis Company will present an Off-Broadway revival of Benjamin A. Baker's 1848 melodrama A Glance at New York. The Axis production is an experimental event carefully adapted by the Company for a contemporary audience. A Glance at New York is directed by Randy Sharp and will be produced under an Equity Off-Broadway contract. Previews begin October 12 with opening scheduled for Friday, October 19th.

Full casting has been announced for the world premiere of Aaron Sorkin's new American play about the advent of television, The Farnsworth Invention, directed by two-time Tony Award winner Des McAnuff, opening on Broadway at the Music Box Theatre on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 with previews beginning on Monday, October 15, 2007. The play stars Tony Award-nominee Hank Azaria as David Sarnoff, and Jimmi Simpson as Philo T. Farnsworth.

TraumNovela, a dynamic new alternative dance theater piece, will have its premiere September 22 - October 14 at the Barrow Street Theater. An official opening night is set for September 26, 2007. The new work will be play the Barrow Street concurrently with the hit musical Gone Missing and the upcoming Baby Wants Candy. TraumNovela is a production of Six Figures Theatre Company.

Lincoln Center Theater has announced casting for the two lead roles in its upcoming production of the classic Rodgers & Hammerstein's musical South Pacific. The Tony Award nominated singer-actress Kelli O'Hara will star as Ensign Nellie Forbush and internationally acclaimed baritone Paulo Szot will make his Broadway debut as Emile de Becque. The production, the first to be mounted on Broadway since the Pulitzer Prize winning musical premiered in 1949, will be directed by Barlett Sher and will begin performances Saturday, March 1 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater. Opening night is Thursday, April 3.
