American Ballet Theatre announced the promotion of six corps de ballet dancers — Zimmi Coker, Michael de la Nuez, Tyler Maloney, Joseph Markey, Andrew Robare, and Yoon Jung Seo — to the rank of Soloist, as announced by ABT Artistic Director Susan Jaffe.

More than 35 years after Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID premiered in theatres, the beloved animated classic continues to capture the imagination of audiences across generations. Today’s subject Myles Frost in currently living his theatre life as the lead character in Chez Joey at Arena Stage. The show is a modern reimagining of the 1940 Rodgers and Hart musical Pal Joey. The production runs through March 22nd in Arena’s Kreeger Theatre.

Recently, Michael’s production of the new play, Incitation of the Dance, opened at Theatre West. Its title Inspired by Gene Kelly's 1956 film; Invitation to the Dance, this dark comedy explores the complexities of older gay relationships—described by one critic as a 'gay gray play.' The production runs from February 27 to March 15. $10 off for tix bought in advance online.   It will be followed by a two-night engagement of My Uterus: A Womb with a View, written and performed by DINA MORRONE.  On  Mother's Day there will be a Theatre West cabaret concert of 30 years of Broadway hit show tunes for moms, dads, sibs and caretakers.
