Wild Honey - 2016 - West End Tickets, News, Info & More

£35 - £50

Village schoolmaster Mikhail Vasilyevich has it all: wit, intelligence, a comfortable and respectable life in provincial Russia, and the attentions of four beautiful women - one of whom is his devoted wife… As summer arrives and the seasonal festivities commence, the rapidly intensifying heat makes everyone giddy with sunlight, vodka – and passion.

Michael Frayn’s comedy of errors, drawn from Chekhov’s untitled – and posthumously discovered - early play, is a tale of nineteenth century Russian life replete with classic misunderstandings, irrepressible desires and nostalgia for a vanishing world.

On the heels of playing to rapt audiences at SXSW, Anna Shoemaker has shared new single 'Home.' The track premiered via Wild Honey Pie who note 'The infusion of R&B with the light lilting of acoustic instruments give 'Home' a freshly intimate and evasive quality to it. As Shoemaker's voice fills the song with style and swoon-worthy inflections, it becomes more clear that she's an artist to watch.' Anna states, 'The idea behind the song isn't necessarily a physical place, but a person. It's about being all over the place, feeling lost trying to get a hold of this someone who feels like your home. The song is about more than just a drunk dial. It's not as much about wanting this person as it is about needing them.'

If there were resumés for musicians, Suzi Ragsdale’s would certainly end up on the top of the stack. After taking part in her first recording session while in kindergarten, Ragsdale has been on a wild ride through the music industry where she’s written songs for the likes of Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert, sang background on recordings for everyone from Loretta Lynn to Hank Williams Jr., and toured as a member in the bands of iconic songwriters Guy Clark and Darrell Scott; and that’s not even mentioning Ragsdale’s own albums she's released since her two duet records with Verlon Thompson in 1993 and 1995. Now, in 2020, it’s been a decade since Ragsdale has released her own music, but that only magnifies the refreshing and reassuring wisdom, compassion, and humor of her new EP, Ghost Town.
