If you are wondering whether it's necessary for you to have seen Qui Nguyen's critically-acclaimed 2015 play VIETGONE in order to enjoy its superior new sequel POOR YELLA REDNECKS, then don't worry too much about it. This incredibly funny, incredibly innovative, and incredibly well-acted follow-up is, by itself, a singular, superb stand-alone gem. All those loud laughs you're hearing in Costa Mesa for the past few weeks? They're all likely coming from South Coast Repertory, where this entertaining and thought-provoking must-see sequel is currently being presented in its first full World Premiere production through April 27, 2019 as part of the Tony Award-winning theater's annual Pacific Playwright's Festival. I truly cannot recommend this play-with-music enough.

Pure Joy turned into Grief and Terror then finally Relief coursed through me. For 90 minutes, I was completely immersed in the experience that is AMPARO. And that is exactly what AMPARO is; a complete theatrical experience. As I am writing this I can still feel all the emotions I went through when I first participated in AMPARO. I say participated because you don't watch AMPARO, you live it. I also haven't stopped talking about it to anyone who will listen and even now when I describe the experience as I am urging family and friends to GO SEE IT, I get goosebumps. I fear that I won't do the experience justice with my mere words but I will do my best.

You know Bon Jovi. You love Bon Jovi. And you will really love the new Bon Jovi Musical, We've Got Each Other! Drexel EAM Productions is excited to announce the U.S. premiere of We've Got Each Other, the almost entirely imagined Bon Jovi musical, written and performed by Paul O'Donnell, in April. Fresh off his hit premiere at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and armed with only his imagination, a few dance moves, and 180 light cues, O'Donnell vividly brings the beautifully tragic love story of down-on-his-luck dockworker Tommy and hard-working diner waitress Gina to life in this hilarious take on jukebox musicals.
