After selling out her Feinstein's/54 Below solo debut, Amanda Jane Cooper will return by popular demand to Broadway's Living Room on June 7 at 9:30pm for an encore performance of her show Somewhere Over the Rainbow: A Night of Story and Song.

From present-day Miami to 1957-Cuba, where you will follow cast members through the Cuban Revolution, bearing witness to the story of the Arechabala family--founders of THE REAL HAVANA CLUB rum.

Hallelujah! The Highwood Theatre's 16th Season veers off on a joyously irreverent course in a special production of David Javerbaum's An Act of God. The story is simple: God makes a grand return to earth to answer the burning questions of mankind - how else to do that than by rewriting the Ten Commandments? In support of bringing arts education to underprivileged children in NYC and around the world, over 30 of Broadway's finest performers are donating their time and talents to the Broadway's Babies 2019 Spring Fundraising Concert on Monday March 25 at (le) Poisson Rouge, NYC. London's first theatre themed cafe, The Theatre Cafe, today announces exciting expansion plans for 2019. A brand new site will open on St Martin's Lane in June 2019 and offer theatre fans a bigger and better space to enjoy everything stagey. The new larger premises will feature a brand-new stage and offer more live events and opportunities for fans to be part of the West End community.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that UK star Lucie Jones will soon join the cast of Waitress on Broadway as Jenna. Sara Bareilles and Tony Award winner Gavin Creel just played their final show as Jenna and Dr. Pomatter, yesterday, February 3.

Manhattan Concert Productions (MCP) has just announced lead casting for their concert performance of Frank Wildhorn and Nan Knighton's musical comedy The Scarlet Pimpernel. One of today's greatest leading men, Tony Yazbeck, will star as Percy Blakeney at David Geffen Hall, Lincoln Center on February 18, 2019 at 8:00 pm.

WAITRESS is a 2015 musical with music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles and a book by Jessie Nelson, which is based on the 2007 film of the same name, written by Adrienne Shelly. It tells the story of Jenna Hunterson (Christine Dwyer), a waitress in an abusive relationship with her husband Earl (Matt DeAngelis). When Jenna unexpectedly becomes pregnant, she begins an affair with her gynecologist, Dr. Jim Pomatter (Steven Good). Looking for a way out, she sees a pie contest and its twenty thousand dollar grand prize as her only chance.

Since its 2015 premiere at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts - a popular laboratory for some of Broadway's most recent smash hits -Waitress, with music and lyrics by the indomitably popular songstress Sara Bareilles and a book by Jessie Nelson, has made defying the theater community's wildest expectations look easy as pie. Somewhat quietly, Waitress has baked a more than 1100 performance run (and counting) on Broadway, spanning nearly three years, no small feat for a modern musical, particularly one that does not rely upon spectacular stage effects, grandiose chorus numbers, a well-known jukebox catalog or Disney source material. Adapted from Adrienne Shelly's 2007 film of the same name - which was by no means a box office juggernaut - the musical incarnation of Waitress has none of these things. What it does have, however, is a fantastic score, relatable and likeable (with one exception) characters, and a well-mixed blend of humor and heart.
