The full cast has been announced for the upcoming Broadway revival of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, starring Tony and Grammy-nominated multi-platinum recording artist Josh Groban (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812) and Tony Award winner Annaleigh Ashford (Sunday in the Park with George).

William Shatner ('Star Trek,' 'Boston Legal'), Ron Perlman ('Sons of Anarchy,' Hellboy), Katee Sackhoff ('The Mandalorian,' 'Battlestar Galactica'), Sam Raimi (The Evil Dead, Spider-Man), Matthew Lewis ('Neville Longbottom' in Harry Potter franchise), Anson Mount ('Star Trek: Discovery,' 'Star Trek: Strange New Worlds) and the stars of 'Trailer Park Boys' Mike Smith, John Paul Tremblay and Robb Wells are the first wave of celebrity guests announced to attend FAN EXPO Portland, February 17-19, 2023 at the Oregon Convention Center.

The Icon Tribute comes on the heels of the documentary film Sidney, which had its world premiere during a Gala Presentation at the Toronto International Film Festival and has since won Best Biographical Documentary at the Critics Choice Documentary Awards while also receiving nominations for Best Director and Best Biographical Documentary.

The tour is set to launch on July 6, 2023, at Atlanta’s Ameris Bank Amphitheatre, the area’s largest outdoor venue. For the first leg of the US Live Nation tour, FOREIGNER will be joined by LOVERBOY, one of the 80’s biggest hit-makers. The spectacular show will thrill audiences with stellar performances of more than 20 combined chart-topping songs.

Soprano Karoline Podolak of Toronto took home both First Prize and Audience Choice Award at the Canadian Opera Company's Centre Stage: Ensemble Studio Competition on November 3, 2022 at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts. The evening marked the grand finale of a national search for Canada's top young opera singers, all of whom were vying for cash prizes and the chance to be invited for a coveted spot in the company's prestigious Ensemble Studio training program.

Kicking off in Denver on February 16th before winding its way through the Midwest and east coast, the 19-date tour will find Harrison and Belew performing songs from this monumental period of the band’s history alongside a powerhouse band, including former members of Turkuaz, Julie Slick on bass, and Yahuba Garcia-Torres on percussion.

On Friday, November 18, 2022, composer and guitarist David Leisner releases his new album, Letter to the World, on Azica Records. Featuring four song cycles - Confiding, Das Wunderbare Wesen, Simple Songs, and Of Darkness and Light - Letter to the World includes four vocal compositions from different stages of Leisner's career: two from the 1980's, one from 2002, and one from 2011.

On Tuesday, October 18, international and #1 New York Times bestselling author John Irving visits The Music Hall's virtual stage as part of the Writers on a New England Stage series, presented in an intimate, online format. He will discuss his first book in seven years, THE LAST CHAIRLIFT, which follows Adam, the son of former skier Rachel “Little Ray” Brewster, as he travels to Aspen looking for answers to the eventful past his family evades. 

Next up at Theatre 40, Norm Foster’s A Clean Brush world premieres September 23, 2022. Howard Storm directs the cast of Mandy Fason, Susan Priver, Michael Kerr and James Lemire. I got the chance to pepper Norm (a.k.a. the Canadian Neil Simon) on this world premiere and his extensive resume of 67 plays.

The 14-track album features guest artists such as 2x-GRAMMY Award-winner Mike Mattison (Tedeschi Trucks Band, Derek Trucks Band), multiple-Maple Blues Award-winning guitarist Paul Deslauriers, Juno Award-nominee Alison Young and 3x-Blues Music Award nominee Jarekus Singleton.

Original “Dynasty” stars Jack Coleman (Steven Carrington), John James (Jeff Colby) and Gordon Thomson (Adam Carrington) are co-starring once again in the premiere of their new live stage show “Cocktails With the Carringtons: A Dynasty Party” at Feinstein’s at The Nikko on Wednesday, September 7th at 8pm.

The Andes Dance Collective, founded by dancer/choreographers Gloria McLean, Columbine Macher, David Capps and composer/performer Marshall Coid, presents the DELAWARE COUNTY 2ND DANCE FILM FESTIVAL AND WORKSHOP, bringing new dance and music events to the Catskills Delaware County region.  This year, in two 4-day weekends, July 21-24 and August 4-7, the Festival will include two live dance/music performances (premieres), film screenings, and dance workshops.

SDCF announces the host theatre for its 2022 Lloyd Richards New Futures Residency program: Actors Theatre of Louisville in Louisville, KY. Applications are being accepted now for a Resident Artist, who will be mentored by Actors Theatre of Louisville's Executive Artistic Director Robert Barry Fleming for one year while also undertaking their own artistic projects at the host theatre.

La MaMa, in association with Collapsable Giraffe, will present the world premiere of Object Collection’s Look Out Sh!^head Episode 3, a multidisciplinary performance inspired by Éric Rohmer’s 1980 film cycle Comédies et Proverbes, for two weeks this June.

Billy & The Dreamerz, a new original musical with book & music by Neil Coombs & Grace Kosaka, was recently selected to participate in the National Alliance of Musical Theatre (NAMT) Songwriters Showcase at NAMT’s first ever conference in Canada. The Showcase on March 24th, was presented by Musical Stage Company and Michael Rubinoff at Jazz Bistro. “It was very moving to see such an enthusiastic audience response and to collaborate with our American and Canadian colleagues” said Coombs.
