The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announces that Michael Greif, who holds the distinction of being the only director to helm the original Broadway productions of two Pulitzer Prize-winning musicals (RENT and Next to Normal), will return to Next to Normal to direct for the Broadway Center Stage production.

Rubicon Theatre Company has just extended the company's acclaimed, sold-out production of Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, which now continues through November 17, 2019. Directed by Kirby Ward, with a company of 24, the production runs Wednesdays through Sundays in Ventura's Downtown Cultural District at the company's home at 1006 E. Main Street, Ventura, CA  93001.

It was announced today that producers Hal Luftig and Patrick Catullo will bring a new production of the classic rock opera The Who's Tommy back to Broadway in the 2021 season, directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Des McAnuff, who also directed the original Broadway production.

BroadwayWorld has a first look at Signature Theatre's rehearsals for A Chorus Line with music by Marvin Hamlisch, lyrics by Edward Kleban and book by James Kirkwood Jr. & Nicholas Dante. A Chorus Line will run from October 29, 2019 - January 5, 2020 in Signature Theatre's intimate MAX Theatre and will be directed by Signature Theatre Associate Artistic Director Matthew Gardiner (Signature's Passion, Billy Elliot) and choreographed by Tony Award nominee Denis Jones (Broadway's Tootsie, Signature's Crazy for You).

Singer, Kimberly Nichole is dropping the first single entitled “The Witch” from her new unreleased album “West Coast Seattle Girl” on Halloween, Thursday, October 31st, 2019. The new single is Kimberly's homage to her life as a night-life, wild child. The song is also a remake of her hometown garage band pioneers, The Sonics', major hit “The Witch” from the 1970s. 

What Will the Neighbors Say? is thrilled to announce our second bi-annual symposium, 'Agency in Storytelling.' The symposium is being produced by WWTNS? in association with Becky Abramowitz and Kori Rushton of IRT Theatre, who will host the event. The symposium will consider who can, and should, tell which stories - on stage and screen, in literature and through visual art. The discussion will examine the intersection of privilege, visibility and influence, and how that directly affects the access and space given to certain stories and their stakeholders. The symposium will be held on Wednesday October 9th, 2019 at 7pm at IRT Theatre, located at 154 Christopher St, New York, NY 10014.
