The Metropolitan Opera today announced that the Met Orchestra will tour Europe in the summer of 2021, immediately following its annual residency at Carnegie Hall. With all performances conducted by the Met's Jeanette Lerman-Neubauer Music Director, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, the tour includes stops at the Barbican Centre in London on June 29, 2021; the Philharmonie in Paris on June 30 and July 1, 2021; and the Festspielhaus in Baden-Baden, Germany, on July 3 and 4, 2021. Four of the world's leading opera stars join the Met Orchestra: mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato, who will sing selections from Berlioz's Les Troyens, and soprano Christine Goerke, tenor Brandon Jovanovich, and bass Günther Groissböck, who will perform the first act of Wagner's Die Walküre.

Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble has announced the final performance of its 2019-20 Art & Activism Performance Series, WHAT WE CARRIED, a documentary-style danztheatre work created by ensemble-members that brings to life the voices, stories, and struggles of asylum-seekers, featuring text pulled from interviews with local immigrants. The performance is also a collaboration with sculptural artist Jean Parisi, serving as both devised performance and immersive exhibition of her work. WHAT WE CARRIED will play May 8-16, 2020 at Chicago Danztheatre's permanent home, Ebenezer Lutheran Church Auditorium, 1650 W. Foster Ave. in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood. The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) and CBC today confirmed the final phase of artists set to perform at The 2020 JUNO Awards Broadcast, hosted by Alessia Cara. Houston Grand Opera has announced its 2020a?"21 season, featuring a repertoire of beloved classics, company premieres, and a much-anticipated world premiere. The 66th season opens with audience favorite Carmen. American mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard makes her HGO and role debut as Carmen in the revival of Rob Ashford's acclaimed 2014 production of Bizet's classic.
