The McCallum Theatre welcomes back the legendary Itzhak Perlman, performing with longtime pianist Rohan De Silva, for An Evening With Itzhak Perlman at 7:00pm., Monday, January 20. The show is made possible through the generosity of Barbara Arnstein. In this 2019-20 season, Perlman is embarking on a debut tour of a new program entitled An Evening With Itzhak Perlman, which captures highlights of his career through narrative and multimedia elements, intertwined with performance. In addition to the McCallum, tour stops have included or will include Penn State, UC Santa Barbara, UC Davis the Mesa Arts Center, Artis-Naples and the State Theatre in New Jersey. 

Opera Omaha has an outstanding 2020/2021 Season in store, filled with exhilarating productions and remarkable artists. We look forward to numerous exciting debuts as well as the return of some of Omaha's favorite artists who will thrill us once again.

Parallel 45 Theatre has announced their Tenth Anniversary season featuring four adventurous shows this summer in downtown Traverse City. Benson Foundation for the Arts celebrates their 20th anniversary season on stage at the W.J. Barefoot Auditorium. The Benson Foundation for the Arts was formed with the support of Benson town government to revitalize the former Benson High School Auditorium, which sat vacant since 1981.  The goal: to provide a facility to accommodate the cultural and civic needs of the area. The seventh annual Grand Park's Downtown Día de los Muertos, a presentation by TMC Arts, The Music Center's programming engine, expands to include the newly renovated Music Center Plaza as well as a one-night only Selena for Sanctuary concert. Raising awareness of social justice issues concerning immigration in Los Angeles, the concert will feature an all-female line-up of Los Angeles-based artists, including Empress Of, San Cha and Ceci Bastida. Grand Park's Downtown Día de los Muertos is a community-wide event that upholds this cultural tradition, remembering those who have passed away and inviting all Angelenos to experience and learn about the observance.

The Academy of St. Martin in the Fields Chamber Ensemble, an octet drawn from the musician leaders of one of the finest chamber orchestras in the world, makes its Musco Center debut Tuesday, October 15 with works by Johannes Brahms, Erich Wolfgang Korngold and Felix Mendelssohn, plus a new piece by St. Martin in the Fields composer-in-residence Sally Beamish.

a??a??a??a??a??a??a??The Ailey School, now celebrating its 50th anniversary, was selected to perform in the 2019 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.  Over 100 students from all programs of The Ailey School will answer the call of a?oeLet's Have a Parade,a?? the iconic phrase that has signaled the start of every Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade since 1924.  Led by The Ailey School Co-Director Tracy Inman, the dancers from age seven to 25 will perform a dance inspired by the a?oeRocka My Soula?? finale of Alvin Ailey's American masterpiece Revelations.

The Paley Center for Media today announced that it will honor the 100th season of the National Football League (NFL) when it opens the new exhibit: A Century of Football: Celebrating the NFL's 100th Season. Presented in partnership with the NFL and the Pro Football Hall of Fame, this exclusive engagement is free and open to the public, and will run at the Paley Center September 14 to October 27.

Violinist Anne Akiko Meyers, one of the most internationally renowned and respected classical musicians today, will perform the European debut of American composer Adam Schoenberg's Orchard in Fog at the world-renowned George Enescu Music Festival in September. She premieres the concerto with the Romanian orchestra, 'Mihail Jora' Philharmonic Orchestra Bac?u and American conductor Jayce Ogren in two special performances.
