The McCallum Theatre welcomes back the legendary Itzhak Perlman, performing with longtime pianist Rohan De Silva, for An Evening With Itzhak Perlman at 7:00pm., Monday, January 20. The show is made possible through the generosity of Barbara Arnstein. In this 2019-20 season, Perlman is embarking on a debut tour of a new program entitled An Evening With Itzhak Perlman, which captures highlights of his career through narrative and multimedia elements, intertwined with performance. In addition to the McCallum, tour stops have included or will include Penn State, UC Santa Barbara, UC Davis the Mesa Arts Center, Artis-Naples and the State Theatre in New Jersey.

Summer's heat can sometimes sneak up on you, as the days get longer and the sun seems to burn brighter and higher in the sky each day, the temperature rising until it becomes stifling, sweltering. Suddenly Last Summer, a one-act play by Tennessee Williams that currently being presented by Epic Theatre Company, also sneaks up on you, raising its own temperature ever so slightly during it's run time, until it boils over into the final shocking revelations of the final moments.

Benson Foundation for the Arts celebrates their 20th anniversary season on stage at the W.J. Barefoot Auditorium. The Benson Foundation for the Arts was formed with the support of Benson town government to revitalize the former Benson High School Auditorium, which sat vacant since 1981. The seventh annual Grand Park's Downtown Día de los Muertos, a presentation by TMC Arts, The Music Center's programming engine, expands to include the newly renovated Music Center Plaza as well as a one-night only Selena for Sanctuary concert. Raising awareness of social justice issues concerning immigration in Los Angeles, the concert will feature an all-female line-up of Los Angeles-based artists, including Empress Of, San Cha and Ceci Bastida. Grand Park's Downtown Día de los Muertos is a community-wide event that upholds this cultural tradition, remembering those who have passed away and inviting all Angelenos to experience and learn about the observance.
