Belvoir has unveiled the productions that will make up its 2023 season; bursting at the seams with joyful optimism, thought-provoking theatre, and with lashings of heart. 2023 will see ten plays grace the Belvoir mainstage, with something for everyone - from a Sondheim musical to a best-selling book adaptation, climate issues to exuberant comedy, and so much more - all while shining the light on some incredible Australian artistic talents.

Singer-songwriter Kat Leigh (they/them) will release their debut self-titled EP, produced by Erik Ron (Panic! At the Disco, Set It Off, Godsmack), due out via BMG. Alongside the announcement, Kat shares their new single “Criminal”. The track shines a light on how one's personal style or interests can feel unlawful in the eyes of others.

Funny Girl gets new funny ladies tonight! Lea Michele will star as 'Fanny Brice' and Tovah Feldshuh will star as 'Mrs. Brice,' alongside Tony & Olivier Award nominee Ramin Karimloo as 'Nick Arnstein'. The production will invite critics back to the show, but not for a few weeks, after the pair has had a “brief time to perform together.” 

lund’s debut album Right This Time, was recorded with producer Tyler “The Falcon” Greenwell (Tedeschi Trucks Band) at Echo Mountain Studios and Sedgwick Studios in her adoptive hometown of Asheville. The album features original songs honed over her decades-long stint in New York City as a working musician, promoter, and manager.

The song features the vocals of DíSA (Dísa Jakobs), who will be singing in Trentemøller’s all new band on a highly anticipated North American tour, beginning later this month. Dísa’s vocals perfectly weave through the track, sometimes floating above, and sometimes shining through from the engine room. 

Producer, songwriter, and artist Malibu Babie – who co-produced Nicki Minaj’s current Billboard Hot 100 #1  single “Super Freaky Girl” as well as Megan Thee Stallion’s “Her” – is stepping out with  music of her own, with her sugary sweet yet sly voice, hard-hitting hip-hop beats, and a playful wit that shines through her memeable lyrics.

Entirely self-produced by Muse, the 10-track ‘Will of the People’ album has been previewed by ‘Won’t Stand Down’, ‘Compliance’, the title track ‘Will Of The People’ and ‘Kill Or Be Killed’.
