Based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett

Everyone will love this charming, upbeat musical adaptation of a literary classic. Mary Lennox is sent to live in England after her parents die in India. Misselthwaite Manor turns out to be a gloomy fortress. Her uncle is rarely home and his young son, Colin, never leaves his room, convinced heís an incurable invalid. Mary discovers a strange walled garden that has been locked up for years. With the gardenerís apprentice, Dickon, a lad who can talk to the animals, Mary coaxes the garden back to life. The garden seems to have a wonderful, magical effect on all who come into it, allowing Mary to help restore Colin to health and a reunion with his father.

Artistic Director of Theatr Clwyd, Tamara Harvey, today announces the full cast for a major revival of Jim Cartwright's The Rise and Fall of Little Voice. Opening in the Anthony Hopkins Theatre on Tuesday 10 October, with previews from Thursday 5 October, the company will be led by Theatr Clwyd Associate, Catrin Aaron, in the lead role of Little Voice. She will be joined by Victoria John (Sadie), Christian Patterson (Mr Boo/Phone Man), Nicola Reynolds (Mari Hoff), Simon Holland Roberts (Ray Say) and Joseph Tweedale (Billy). Opening their 49th Season with the enchanting storybook tale The Secret Garden, Theatre Under the Stars has welcomed Dan Knechtges as Artistic Director to take over the season that predecessor Sheldon Epps put in place. The musical, directed and choreographed by 5th Avenue Theatre's Artistic Director David Armstrong is based on Frances Hodgson Burnett's fairytale classic and a book by Marsha Norman, infused with music by Lucy Simon.
