Stray Cat Theatre's production of SWEAT, directed by Chanel Bragg, achieves a remarkable balance between the intimacy and intensity of working class folks caught in the whirlwind of economic displacement. To this end, Bragg's ensemble delivers powerhouse performances.

Cyndy A. Marion's 'Thistles' is now being performed at 59E59 Theaters, produced by White Horse Theater Company in association with Anthony W. Lopez. The show will be on the Upper East Side stage through December 1st. 

The romantic comedy is alive and well on Broadway in the charming new play, Left On Tenth. The dramedy, starring Julianna Margulies and Peter Gallagher, is an adaptation of the 2022 memoir from novelist, essayist, screenwriter, and rom-com icon, Delia Ephron. On July 6 and 7, 2024, the theatre community and social enterprise Cerita Beda Hak Sama (CBHS) ran their newest production, Teater Musikal Joshua Oh Joshua, at Graha Bhakti Budaya, Jakarta. Adapted from a well-beloved family movie of the same name, the musical was CBHS’s most ambitious project yet, featuring more than 50 cast members, 20 original songs, and a big dream.

Nottingham Playhouse has announced the full cast for the brand-new production of the Olivier, Tony and Grammy award-winning Best Musical DEAR EVAN HANSEN.

The Full Monty, adapted from the 1997 British film, features a score by David Yazbek and book by Terrence McNally. The show introduces the audience to six unemployed steelworkers who come up with a seemingly crazy way to raise some money—performing a Chippendales-style act. The Full Monty, which first opened on Broadway in 2000, follows these characters and their families as they work to overcome both external and internal struggles. Actor Craig Smith takes the stage as Jerry in The Full Monty at Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre.

Glenn Close and Jeremy Irons will be starring together in a comedy from Simon Curtis, the director of My Week With Marilyn and Downton Abbey: A New Era. The forthcoming comedy will center on Nigel (Irons) and Marie (Close), playing former Broadway veterans who are now living in a retirement community. When they discover the hidden talents of their fellow residents, they decide to put on a show starring Nigel and produced by Marie.
