The Firehall Arts Centre has announced its 39th season, and Artistic Producer Donna Spencer has proudly programmed it as a Reunion Season. The Firehall’s 2021-22 Reunion Season opens with the world premiere of Raven Spirit Dance’s Chapter 21 from September 29 to October 3.

OPERA America has announced the selection of Douglas Kearney as  the inaugural recipient of the Campbell Opera Librettist Prize. Kearney will receive a $7,000 award  to support his creative and career development. Conceived and funded by acclaimed librettist and  lyricist Mark Campbell, the Prize is the first award in American opera that specifically recognizes the work of  the opera librettist. 

Today, Red Bull Theater announced a very special benefit reading of  Ben Jonson’s classic comedy, Volpone, or The Fox directed by Jesse Berger, Red Bull’s Founder and Artistic Director. First produced by Red Bull Theater in 2012, this new version will feature emendations & elaborations by director Berger and playwright Jeffrey Hatcher.
