Breaking Glass Pictures has acquired North American rights to the eccentric, lovable LGBTQ feature CUBBY.Breaking Glass acquired rights to the film in April in a deal negotiated between Breaking Glass CEO Rich Wolff and Jordan Mattos, Managing Director of Aspect Ratio Films. CUBBY will open theatrically in New York City, followed by a DVD & VOD release, in the 3rdquarter of 2019.

The French Institute Alliance Fran aise (FIAF), New York's premier French cultural and language center, today announced the 2019 Crossing the Line Festival, featuring 11 performances and a gallery exhibition from a geographically, generationally, and artistically diverse group of artists whose work transcends genres and boundaries. All performances are world, US, or New York premieres; they are united by their convention-breaking fearlessness as they confront topics from social injustice to personal demons. Many of the performances pay homage to legendary artists of our time and previous eras, while the theme of migration and its transformational effects on identity informs several others. Following a sell-out priority booking period, the West End production of Dear Evan Hansen today announces a second additional ticket release will take place at 10am on Monday 10 June 2019, with tickets on sale to Saturday 4 April 2020. Dear Evan Hansen begins previews at the Noel Coward Theatre on Tuesday 29 October 2019 with opening night on Tuesday 19 November 2019 at 7pm. Casting will be announced at a later date.

Broadway In Chicago has announced the acclaimed national touring production of the 2017 Best Musical Tony Award-winner Dear Evan Hansen will now play its limited 12-week engagement, July 7 September 27, 2020, at Broadway In Chicago's CIBC Theatre (18 W. Monroe). Patrons who have purchased tickets at the James M. Nederlander Theatre will be moved to comparable seats at the CIBC Theatre, and new tickets will be provided by the end of June.

George Lopez's multi-faceted career encompasses television, film, standup comedy, and late-night television. Lopez is currently on his stand up comedy tour, The Wall World Tour, in arenas across the country. He also recently completed his standup comedy tour, The Comedy Get Down, with Eddie Griffin, D.L. Hughley, and Cedric the Entertainer. The comedians also debuted their BET scripted comedy series based on their tour.

Two local students are on their way to New York City next month to compete in the National High School Musical Theatre Awards - also known as the Jimmy Awards - representing Palm Beach County. The students will also experience a weeklong musical theater intensive with Broadway artists, thanks to being selected the top student performers at the second annual Kravis Center Dream Awards.
