Hancock Whitney Broadway in New Orleans at the Saenger Theatre announced its 2019 - 2020 season line-up of shows, headlined by the six-time Tony Award and 2018 Grammy Award-winning Best Musical DEAR EVAN HANSEN and also includes MEAN GIRLS; A CHRISTMAS STORY, THE MUSICAL; MISS SAIGON; Roald Dahl's CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY; ANASTASIA; and FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. The 2019-2020 season is presented by the New Orleans Theatre Association and will begin in the Fall. The new season represents a wide range of Tony Award® winners and Broadway blockbusters for New Orleans audiences to enjoy.

Broadway In Chicago has announced the acclaimed national touring production of the 2017 Best Musical Tony Award-winner Dear Evan Hansen will now play its limited 12-week engagement, July 7 September 27, 2020, at Broadway In Chicago's CIBC Theatre (18 W. Monroe). Patrons who have purchased tickets at the James M. Nederlander Theatre will be moved to comparable seats at the CIBC Theatre, and new tickets will be provided by the end of June.

Lopez is currently on his stand up comedy tour, The Wall World Tour, in arenas across the country. He also recently completed his standup comedy tour, The Comedy Get Down, with Eddie Griffin, D.L. Casting has been confirmed for the 69th Broadway At Music Circus season, which begins June 11 at the Wells Fargo Pavilion. The season includes four Broadway At Music Circus premieres, Shrek the Musical, The Drowsy Chaperone, The Wiz, and In the Heights.

Two local students are on their way to New York City next month to compete in the National High School Musical Theatre Awards - also known as the Jimmy Awards - representing Palm Beach County. The students will also experience a weeklong musical theater intensive with Broadway artists, thanks to being selected the top student performers at the second annual Kravis Center Dream Awards.

IFC Center today announced an impressive and wide-ranging lineup for the third annual Split Screens Festival (www.splitscreensfestival.com) taking place Wednesday, May 29 through Monday, June 3, 2019, at the IFC Center in New York City. The Metropolitan Opera has named soprano Lisette Oropesa as the winner of the 14th annual Beverly Sills Artist Award. The $50,000 award is given to extraordinarily gifted singers with rising Met careers. Given in honor of the legendary American soprano Beverly Sills, the award was established in 2006 by an endowment gift from the late Agnes Varis, a managing director on the Met's Board of Directors.

Sofia Bolt, the project of guitarist/vocalist Amélie Rousseaux, is thrilled to announce her debut album Waves, due out June 28 on Loantaka Records. Rousseaux began releasing music as Sofia Bolt in her native France, winning acclaim for her early EPs from Rolling Stone and Noisey. In 2017, following a breakup, she relocated to Los Angeles and began recording music with a wide-ranging cast of collaborators, including the legendary songwriter/composer/arranger Van Dyke Parks, La Luz drummer Marian Li-Pino, and Angel Olsen bassist Emily Elhaj. The psychedelic pop songs they created became Waves.
