University of the Arts School of Dance presents The School for Temporary Liveness, featuring a new commission by Isabel Lewis and a live performance album from nora chipaumire, September 25-October 2, 2019 at the Philadelphia Art Alliance at University of the Arts, 251 S. 18th Street, Philadelphia, PA. This project marks the Art Alliance at University of the Arts' programmatic debut. The events are FREE and open to the public. Harry and the Potters Release New Album 'Lumos'

Wizard rock pioneers Harry and the Potters (Paul and Joe DeGeorge), have officially released their first full-length album since 2006: Lumos. Using the magic of rock and roll, Lumos chronicles the events of the seventh and final Harry Potter book where J.K. Rowling's teen wizard and his friends are on the run from a xenophobic, authoritarian regime and must work diligently to take down a dark wizard who capitalizes on fear and emboldens supremacist wizards. In other words, the subject matter of Lumos is extremely relevant. Harry and the Potters also just kicked off their first national tour of libraries since 2011 in support of the new album. Lumos was first announced to Harry and the Potters' fans with a Kickstarter campaign on April 23rd, doubling its funding goal within 24 hours of launch.

Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), is proud to continue its support of the Sundance Institute Film Music and Sound Design Lab for more than two decades. The Lab returns to the Skywalker Sound legendary facilities for the seventh year from July 9-22. This year's international group of fellows include Ho-Ling Tan, Jorge Aragon, Brito Gene Back, Ghiya Rushidat, Aska Matsuyami, Ozie Cargile, Sara Broshofske and Emily Rice, who represent a variety of countries from Cuba, Hong Kong, Japan, Saudi Arabia, the UK and the U.S.A.

SEVEN GUITARS Opens Soon At The Long Beach Playhouse

Beginning in 1984, playwright August Wilson wrote a series of ten plays covering each decade of the 20th Century. Together they are known as the Pittsburgh Cycle. Seven Guitars, written in 1995, is set in 1948. The play opens and closes after the funeral of Floyd 'Schoolboy' Barton in the backyard of a Pittsburgh rooming house. In between those two acts Wilson uses flashbacks to tell us the stories of seven friends whose lives and dreams are compellingly human, and in some cases, breathtakingly tragic.
