BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present the 13th Annual “A Swinging Birdland Christmas” – starring vocalists Klea Blackhurst, Jim Caruso, and Billy Stritch – for six performances from Tuesday, December 20 to Sunday, December 25 at 5:30 PM.

BIRDLAND THEATER will present singer and violinist Edmund Bagnell in “Home for the Holidays” on Monday, December 12 at 8:30 PM. The countdown to the holidays is on, and through music and humor Bagnell shares his heartfelt and humorous recipe for a perfectly imperfect holiday season.

Concord Theatricals announced the launch of its new record label, Concord Theatricals Recordings. The label will be the home to many of the finest cast albums and theater artist recordings, including Concord Theatricals’ previous releases with Concord’s Craft Recordings label.

This sweeping and stirring musical masterpiece paints a portrait of America at the dawn of the twentieth century, interweaving the lives of three families—an African American family, a Jewish Immigrant family, and a wealthy white family—finding their places and pursuing the American Dream in a rapidly changing world. Featuring a Tony Award-winning book by Pulitzer Prize finalist Terrence McNally (Master Class, Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Rink) and a Tony Award-winning score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens (Once on This Island, Anastasia, Seussical The Musical), this musical is based on E. According to The Guardian, the late actor Alan Rickman's twenty seven diaries are set to be published in one book. Canongate publishing now has the rights, and the work is set to be published in the fall of this year. The book, now titled 'The Diaries of Alan Rickman' encompasses over twenty five years of the actor's personal writings, including discussions about his career and personal life. The entries began in the first half of the 1990s and continued until his death in 2016. Rickman began the diaries with the intention that they would be published one day.
