Several things rush to mind in the thoughts of the prolific theatre-goer when a Neil Simon production is promised: smart & funny being chiefly amongst them. A collection of three vignette scenes connected only by locale, Room 719 of Manhattan’s once opulent Plaza Hotel, and the ramifications of love (gaining it, losing it and being frankly terrified by it).

Since Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss' little show about Henry VIII's six wives first debuted in 2018 at the Edinburgh Festival, it has done rather well. It quickly moved to the West End in January 2019, before opening at its current home – the Vaudeville Theatre – in November 2021, bitting 1000 performances in December 2023. Along the way, the show has also won over 35 international awards, including two 2022 Tony Awards.
