On Tuesday, October 4 at 7pm, legal scholar and founding director of Northeastern University's Civil Rights and Restorative Justice Project, Margaret A. Burnham comes to The Music Hall Lounge as part of the Talks series. She will discuss her book, BY HANDS KNOW KNOWN, an in-depth investigation into Jim Crow era violence, the legal systems that sustained it, and its enduring legacy in 21st century America.

Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts and Writers Bloc will present AN EVENING WITH ANTHONY DOERR, featuring the Pulitzer Prize-winning author discussing his recent book, Cloud Cuckoo Land, named as a Best Book of the Year by many critics and as a finalist for the 2021 National Book Award, on Thursday, September 29, 2022, 7:30 pm.

Carnegie Hall celebrates the start of its 2022–2023 season with an Opening Night Gala concert on Thursday, September 29 at 7:00 p.m. featuring The Philadelphia Orchestra conducted by Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin. Acclaimed pianist Daniil Trifonov is the soloist for this special evening, performing Liszt's Piano Concerto No. 1. Also on the program is Ravel's La valse, Gabriela Lena Frank's “Chasqui” from Leyendas: An Andean Walkabout, and Dvořák's Symphony No. 8 rounding out the festive evening.

BroadStage is inaugurating a new and engaging chamber music series Sunday Morning Music / Santa Monica curated by award-winning cellist and longtime BroadStage collaborator Antonio Lysy, musical director of the annual Incontri in Terra di Siena Chamber Music Festival in Tuscany, Italy that he founded in 1989. 

Hiromi will be joined by PUBLIQuartet to form The Piano Quintet for one evening presented by BroadStage at The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage at the Santa Monica Performing Arts Center on Saturday, September 17 at 7:30pm.

Upright Theatre Company in Euless, TX will present Next to Normal, playing Friday, September 2 through Sunday, September 25 on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 3pm.

Earlier this season, Western Piedmont Symphony signed a five-year extension of Matthew Troy's contract as Music Director. The extended contract runs through the end of the 2026-2027 season, which will be Troy's eighth as Music Director.

Pantochino Productions Inc., Milford’s award-winning, professional not-for-profit theatre for family audiences has announced its 2022-23 season including cult classics, family favorites and an exciting new musical comedy. Co-producers Bert Bernardi and Jimmy Johansmeyer founded and have led the company since 2010 with performances at the MAC, Milford Arts Council. The new season is generously sponsored by the City of Milford and the Devon Rotary.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley announced its 52nd season, featuring six plays and musicals to be presented November 2022 through August 2023. Three of the season's productions will be mounted at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, and three will be staged at Palo Alto's Lucie Stern Theatre. Westport Country Playhouse is staging the comic satire, “Straight White Men,” by Young Jean Lee, from now through June 5, directed by Mark Lamos, Playhouse artistic director. The show’s 2018 Broadway run made Lee the first Asian American female playwright to have a work produced there.

CaltechLive! presents Naturally 7 on Friday, June 24, at 8 p.m. PDT, outdoors on Beckman Mall, the grassy area in front of Beckman Auditorium on the Caltech campus, as part of the 2022 performance series.
