The Midnight Company announced its 25th Anniversary Season with their lineup of productions for their 2022 landmark silver anniversary year. The season will open with ANOMALOUS EXPERIENCE by the Company’s Artistic Director, Joe Hanrahan, running May 5-21 at the Kranzberg Black Box Theatre. Midnight’s second show of the season will be RODNEY’S WIFE by Richard Nelson and is directed by Joe Hanrahan. The show runs July 7-23 at The Chapel. The final show of the season will be ST. LOUIS WOMAN, written and directed by Joe Hanrahan, running October 6-22 at the .ZACK.

Origin Theatre Company and the Irish Arts Center are jointly presenting a star-studded commemorative reading of Richard Norton-Taylor’s “Bloody Sunday: Scenes from the Saville Enquiry” to mark the 50th anniversary of Bloody Sunday, a seismic turning point in the history of Northern Ireland.

Downtown Manhattan’s premiere jazz club, The Django, announced today a new showcase for the music of legendary composer/bassist/bandleader Charles Mingus. Starting in October, Jazz Workshop (the Mingus organization) revived its weekly celebration at The Django with Tuesday night appearances by the Grammy Award-winning Mingus Big Band.

Reprising their roles from the 2019-2020 season are Danielle Wade as Cady Heron, Megan Masako Haley as Gretchen Wieners, Jonalyn Saxer as Karen Smith, Mary Kate Morrissey as Janis Sarkisian, Eric Huffman as Damian Hubbard, Adante Carter as Aaron Samuels, Kabir Bery as Kevin G. and Lawrence E. Street as Mr. Duvall.

On Monday, December 13, at 8:00pm ET, Emmy and Tony Award–winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth will ring in the holiday season at the Metropolitan Opera with a one-night-only concert, Kristin Chenoweth: Christmas at the Met.

Acclaimed violinist Leonidas Kavakos will launch his Carnegie Hall Perspectives series this fall, three concerts that showcase his matchless technique, captivating artistry, and superb musicianship presented throughout the 2021–2022 season.

BWW Detroit had a chance to speak with Franklin native Jason Dilly who plays Leo in the show and is the big brother of Erin Dilly who originated the role of Meg in the 2004 Broadway production directed by Ken Ludwig!
