In celebration of 40 years of The Flat Earth, BMG is releasing an expanded, 40th Anniversary Edition of the album. As well as the complete tracklisting from the original record, the special release of the anniversary edition includes live tracks, rare mixes and alternate versions of songs from the iconic album, which tell the story of a songwriter and performer reaching new musical heights.

On Friday, May 31st, I had the pleasure of seeing the phenomenal musical WE WILL ROCK YOU at the Downtown Cabaret Theatre in Bridgeport, CT. This is neither a tribute concert to Queen nor a biography of their lives. Rather, the concept is similar to Mamma Mia! in that the show is a fictional story built around the music of one specific music group, in this case, Queen. Playwright Ben Elton, however, has written a storyline that digs much deeper. According to reports, Faye Dunaway and Harvey Keitel will be starring together in a new supernatural romance film from director Jonathan Baker. Actor Andrew McCarthy of The Blacklist will also be appearing in the film. The plot of the movie, titled Fate, is being kept under wraps but is reported to be set at a 'Vista hotel', taking its inspiration from the historic Vista Theatre in Los Angeles, now owned by Quentin Tarantino.
