Canadian Songbird Set To Wow With Legends Of Carnegie Hall

Singer Alison MacDonald will pay tribute to the most beloved songstresses to ever hit the stage at Carnegie Hall during her Beyond the Stage performance this month. During Legends of Carnegie Hall, MacDonald will sing popular tunes from chanteuses such as Patsy Cline, Judy Garland, Liza Minelli, Bette Midler, Carole King, Ella Fitzgerald, and more. BWW Review: CABARET at Manatee Performing Arts Center

Cabaret is a 1966 musical with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and book by Joe Masteroff. The original Broadway production became such a hit it inspired several productions and revivals in New York and premiered in London's West End in 1968. Cabaret, the film, was produced in 1972, directed by Bob Fosse, and starred Liza Minnelli, Michael York, and Joel Grey. The film is particularly known for Liza Minnelli's rendition of 'Cabaret', a song she would come to sing in concert halls worldwide. It became her trademark. (more...)

Prudential Financial received the Ailey Legacy Honor for their generous support and commitment to Ailey, especially its education and community programs. Deborah is well known to New Yorkers for the imaginative and quality presentations she produced for the Lyrics & Lyricists Series at the 92Y, which she led for 9 seasons. It's difficult to construct a show for New Yorkers about New York, we've seen it all¬Öhaven't we? but this smart show with vocalists Klea Blackhurst, La Tanya Hall and Nicolas King (real New Yorkers because as Deborah pointed out they come from everywhere) offered a kaleidoscopic vision of life in the city. CRT Announces 2019 Winter/Spring Season At CRT Downtown

Cortland Repertory Theatre is announcing a full line-up of shows and events for the winter and spring at their downtown performing arts facility, located at 24 Port Watson Street in historic downtown Cortland. Admission prices vary per event.  Starting in January, a series of monthly THIRD THURSDAY TRIVIA NIGHTS are planned for the first four months of the year.  At 7:00 PM on January 17, February 21, March 21 and April 18, trivia buffs in teams of up to 4 people will be challenged to six rounds of five questions in a wide range of topics. This fund raiser for the CRT Youth Programs encourages friendly competition between families, friends and businesses, with prizes for each round and one evening Grand Prize, including CRT tickets.
