Established in 2007 by nationally renowned playwright Steven Dietz, UTNT (UT New Theatre) is an annual showcase of newly developed works for the American stage from playwrights of the Department of Theatre and Dance's master of fine arts program and Michener Center for Writers. The critically acclaimed West End production of Jacqueline Wilson's Hetty Feather will be screened in cinemas across the UK from 15 April, directed by Sally Cookson and adapted for the stage by Emma Reeves.

Full casting has been announced for the 10th anniversary revival of Bruce Norris' seminal play Clybourne Park. Oliver Kaderbhai directs Alisha Bailey (Francine/Lena), Maddy Hill (Betsy/Lindsey), Andrew Langtree (Karl/Steve), and Richard Lintern (Russ/Dan), who join the previously announced Michael Fox (Jim/Tom), Imogen Stubbs (Bev/Kathy) and Eric Underwood (Albert/Kevin). The production opens on 30 March, with previews from 25 March, and runs until 2 May.

GINGER THATCHER, former principal dancer of the Cleveland Ballet, will be a guest teacher from March 23-27, 2020, and VIOLETA ANGELOVA, former principal dancer of the Suzanne Farrell Ballet, will be a guest teacher from July 20-August 1, 2020 at the Goh Ballet Academy. Ms. Thatcher will be a guest teacher for the New a?" Spring Performance Workshop, and Ms. Angelova will be a member of the faculty for the International Summer Intensive.

San Francisco Opera General Director Matthew Shilvock today announced the Company's 98th season, which opens on September 11, 2020 with an Opening Night Celebration featuring soprano Albina Shagimuratova and tenor Pene Pati in concert with the San Francisco Opera Orchestra conducted by Music Director Designate Eun Sun Kim. Opening Night festivities include San Francisco Opera Guild's Opera Ball, BRAVO! GLAAD also announced that Lilly Singh, openly bisexual executive producer and host of NBC's a?oeA Little Late with Lilly Singh,a?? will serve as host of the Awards, which will take place at the Hilton Midtown in New York on Thursday, March 19. GLAAD previously announced that Ryan Murphy will receive the Vito Russo Award at the New York ceremony.

In the world premiere of a?oeLipstick Lobotomy,a?? John F. Kennedy's little sister, Rosemary Kennedy, and the playwright's Great Aunt Ginny develop a friendship at an exclusive high-end sanitarium for women in the fall of 1941. The women undergo the peculiar cutting-edge treatments on offer by a society desperate to find the cure for womanhood in this incisive comedy.

Birdland Jazz Club and Birdland Theater are pleased to present the schedule for the month of February! At Birdland Jazz Club, catch the iconic Lionel Hampton Big Band Featuring Jason Marsalis, current GRAMMY nominee Catherine Russell, the Birdland debut of AGUAS Trio with Omar Sosa, Yilian Cañizares and Gustavo Ovalles, and iconic vocalist Jane Monheit. Internationally recognized trumpeter Rachel Therrien, the Seth Weaver Big Band, and The Voice contestant Melinda Rose Rodriguez will also be performing upstairs. 

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 40 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2020 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The Off-Broadway hit comedy Men Are From Mars - Women Are From Venus LIVE!, featuring Ryan Drummond, is a one-man fusion of theatre and stand-up, and is a light-hearted theatrical comedy based on the New York Times #1 best-selling book of the last decade by John Gray. Moving swiftly through a series of vignettes, the show covers everything from dating and marriage to the bedroom. This show will play at North Coast Rep on February 3rd and 4th at 7:30pm.
