Betty Buckley, star of stage, screen and television will accept the "Actor of the Year" Award at this year's Sarah Siddons gala fundraiser. Ms.Buckley, who has been called 'The Voice of Broadway,' is one of theater's most respected and legendary leading ladies. 2018 also finds her leading the first national tour ofHello, Dolly!, as Dolly Levi, which will play Broadway In Chicago's Oriental Theatre (24 W. Randolph) for a limited four-week engagement October 23 through November 17, 2018. She is also currently co-starring in AMC's hit series "Preacher". Among her many illustrious credits, Betty Buckley is a Tony Award winner, Olivier Award nominee and American Theater Hall of Fame inductee.

Everybody's Talking About Jamie, the award-winning feel good musical sensation, today (6 November) celebrates its 1st anniversary at the Apollo Theatre in the West End and announces that booking is extending to 28 September 2019. The fairy tale continues.

This week the Berkshire Theatre Critics Association is voting on the final award list in preparation for the Third Annual Berkshire Theatre Awards. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony to be held on Monday, November 12 at 7 pm at the Zion Lutheran Church, 74 First Street (Route 7) in Pittsfield, MA.

For the past ten year Dragon Productions Theatre acted as the fiscal sponsor for Russian children's theatre company TheatreGames. Even though they received their 501c3 status at the end of 2017, TheatreGames continues to call the Dragon Theatre home for its weekly classes and periodically performs full length children's shows on the Dragon stage and out in the community. This spring they took their latest effort, Jeans! The Musical (by Caryn Yacowitz and Diane Claerbout with lyrics and music by Enid Davis) to the Mountain View Performing Arts Center for a sold out run and want to do the show again, this time as a fundraisings event for the Dragon Theatre to thank them for all their support over the years. Wendy DeWitt, the Queen of Boogie Woogie, is providing the musical accompaniment for this production of the play

Everybody's Talking About Jamie, the award-winning feel good musical sensation, has announced that internationally renowned personality, Michelle Visage, will be making her West End musical debut playing the role of Miss Hedge from Thursday 18 October 2018 to Saturday 26 January 2019.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's smash hit School of Rock - The Musical will welcome back to the halls of Horace Green, Mamie Parris, as Principal Rosalie Mullins beginning on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. She will play the role through the show's final performance on January 20, 2019 and succeeds Katherine McLaughlin, who plays her last performance on Sunday, September 23, 2018.

Musical theatre composer/lyricist, Michael Mott, will return to Feinstein's/54 Below in Michael Mott & Friends today, September 7 at 9:30 pm. Mott was last seen at Feinstein's/ 54 Below with a two night sold out concert run of his original musical, In The Light.

PlayGround, the Bay Areas' and Los Angeles' leading playwright incubator, marks the opening of its twenty-fifth season with a special one-night celebration and performance launching a bold new partnership.

Final casting for Berkeley Repertory Theatre's upcoming production of Fairview was announced today. Written by Jackie Sibblies Drury, directed bySarah Benson, with choreography by Raja Feather Kelly, the world premiere production comes straight to Berkeley Rep from a critically acclaimed New York run. Previews begin on Thursday, October 4 with regular run of the show opening on Thursday, October 11 and continuing through Sunday, November 4. In April 2018, the New World Symphony joined The Sphinx Organization and the League of American Orchestras in announcing their new partnership, the National Alliance for Audition Support (NAAS), which is a field-wide initiative with the long-term goal of increasing diversity in American orchestras. Supported by a four-year, $1.8 million grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Alliance offers a holistic and personalized array of support to Black and Latinx musicians to develop their audition skills, increase their participation in auditions, and ultimately, increase their representation in orchestras.
