With the first two weeks already sold out, award winning production company Blue Saint Productions has announced an additional week of performances for the upcoming season of In The Heights. The Sydney season of the Tony Award winning musical at the Hayes Theatre Co has now been extended until April 15 with an additional matinee now added on Wednesday 28 March. Conceived by Lin-Manuel Miranda, the composer behind the Hamilton phenomenon, this brand new, authentic production is running from 16 March 2018 and tickets are selling extremely quickly.

Artists from the bands Postmodern Jukebox, tUnE-yArDs and Diane Coffee join Broadway and West End talent for Lyric Opera's North American premiere of Timothy Sheader's explosive Olivier Award-winning production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar, presented from April 27 to May 20, 2018 at the Lyric Opera House, 20 N. The Old Globe today announced that its 2018-2019 Season will kick off with the world premiere of the new musical Heart of Rock and Roll, inspired by the songs of Huey Lewis and the News, featuring a book by Jonathan Abrams and story by Tyler Mitchell and Jonathan Abrams. It will be directed by Gordon Greenberg with choreography by Lorin Latarro and music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations by Brian Usifer. Today, the Recording Academy announced that Dear Evan Hansen has won the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album. The original cast album for Dear Evan Hansen is produced by Alex Lacamoire, Stacey Mindich, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. Benj Pasek and Justin Paul are the composers/lyricists. Philip Pelkington, has produced a music video to benefit the charity, Direct Relief, as part of his Manhattan Showcase Project series. The project, #MSP4DirectRelief features students from Pelkington's New York and Los Angeles studios, many of whom have performed on Broadway stage, television and film. Any and all profits from the video fundraising project will be donated to Direct Relief (www.DirectRelief.org) which provides life-saving medical aid to areas impacted by disaster and poverty.
