ROSENBAUM'S RESCUE Comes To Park Theatre

Casting has been announced for Rosenbaum's Rescue, the World Premiere play exploring the true story of how over 7,000 Danish Jews managed to escape the Nazi occupation in 1943. Starring Olivier Award-winner David Bamber, Neil McCaul, Dorothea Myer-Bennett and Julia Swift, the production unearths new accounts behind one of history's most compelling mysteries. Washington Ensemble Theatre has announced the cast of the North American Premiere of B, the sharp and surrealist political thriller by Chilean playwright Guillermo Calderon, which is now in rehearsals. B, which is the second of three mainstage productions in WET's 15th Anniversary Season, features an ensemble cast of four incredible Seattle actors: WET member Sophie Franco (Intiman Theatre, Seattle Shakespeare Company) as Alejandra, Craig Peterson (Seattle Shakespeare Company, Pony World) as Jose Miguel, Klarissa Marie Robles (Seattle Repertory Theatre, eSe Teatro) as Marcela, and Gregory Award winner Shermona Mitchell (Sound Theatre Company, ACT) as Carmen. UK Tour Of Ian Rankin And Rona Munro's REBUS LONG SHADOWS Extends Into 2019

Daniel Schumann, Lee Dean and Cambridge Arts Theatre in association with Birmingham Repertory Theatre today announce an extension to the successful UK tour of Rebus: Long Shadows due to public demand. The production written exclusively for the stage by author of the original novels, Ian Rankin and playwright Rona Munro toured from September to November 2018, and in 2019 will tour to a further five cities - Glasgow from 29 January, then visiting Cardiff, Cambridge and Newcastle, before completing its run in Bath on 9 March. IRT Theater is thrilled to present the Oldest Boys Productions in association with Accidental Repertory Theater (John Strasberg, Artistic Director) production of THE FOOL'S LEAR, with text from William Shakespeare's King Lear, adapted and directed by H. Clark Kee. THE FOOL'S LEAR begins performances on Wednesday, January 9 for a limited engagement through Saturday, January 26. Press Opening is Friday, January 11 at 7:30 PM. The performance schedule is Wednesday - Saturday at 7:30 PM and Sunday at 3 PM; with added matinee performances on Saturday 1/19 and 1/26 at 2 PM. Simon Russell Beale returns to National Theatre Live screens following broadcasts of Timon of Athens and King Lear, and his recent role in the National Theatre's critically acclaimed production of The Lehman Trilogy. Beale plays William Shakespeare's Richard II, broadcast live from the stage of the Almeida Theatre in London to The Ridgefield Playhouse screen on Tuesday, January 15 at 2pm and shown in an encore screening Thursday, January 17 at 7pm. This visceral new production about the limits of power is directed by Joe Hill-Gibbins, whose previous plays include Little Revolution at the Almeida and Absolute Hell at the National Theatre. These screenings are part of the Atria Senior Living Classical Series with support from Whistle Stop Bakery and are underwritten by Jeanne Cook, Liz & Steven Goldstone and Sabina &Walter Slavin.
