A year ago, it was “The Impossible Dream,” now, the nationally regarded Fulton Theatre is proud to announce a marquee season in the theatre's 169th year. The Fulton invites audiences to “Return to LIVE,” beginning this summer with a concert series that will ease back into full audiences.

Magnet Theater presents The Eleventh Annual New York Musical Improv Festival from March 12 - 15, 2020 at 254 W. 29th Street, ground floor (between 7th and 8th Avenues), NYC. Most tickets are $5-$15 and feature performances by two to four different musical improv acts per show. Festival Workshops are also being offered to people of all levels of experience! The Fulton "Engages Life Through Art" through three distinct series serving over 160,000 patrons through diverse programing reflecting the broad make-up of the Lancaster community and greater region of eastern Pennsylvania. The 2019-2020 season, with three regional premieres, begins September 17 and continues through July 26.

Following the critically acclaimed 'Lost West End' album series, Stage Door Records present the launch of 'Lost Broadway', a new series of albums that will focus on celebrating Broadway's forgotten and obscure musicals. With each album dedicated to specific years in Broadway history, the 'Lost Broadway' series launches with 'Lost Broadway 1961', a particularly abundant year in the Broadway calendar for musicals whose residencies were short lived but deserve not to be forgotten.

Brandi Carlile will continue her extensive tour through 2019 including a special debut headline performance at New York City's Madison Square Garden on September 14. Additional stops include Chicago's Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island, St. Paul's Minnesota State Fair, Philadelphia's The Mann and Berkeley's The Greek Theatre at UC Berkeley among others. The Directors Guild of America  today announced the nominees for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Television, Commercials and Documentary for 2018.

The Country Music Association has announced the final nominees for “The 52nd Annual CMA Awards,” as Chris Stapleton tops the list of finalists with five nominations. Producer and musician Dann Huff receives four nominations, the second most nominations this year, while nine artists garner three each—Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Dan + Shay, Florida Georgia Line, Chris Janson, Miranda Lambert, Midland, Thomas Rhett and Keith Urban. 

Jump For Joy! The Off-Broadway cast recording of the New York premiere production of the new musical Unexpected Joy, with book and lyrics by Bill Russell (Side Show) and music by Janet Hood (Elegies for Angels, Punks, and Raging Queens with Bill Russell), will be recorded and released by JAY Records. Produced by John Yap, the recording will feature the original cast of The York Theatre Company production who will gather at Sear Sound Studios (353 West 48th Street) on Monday, May 14, 2018 to lay down the tracks for the recording.

I confess, I'm an Anglophile and a huge fan of classic British children's literature: Swallows and Amazons, The Famous Five, Stig of the Dump and of course, Edith Nesbit's The Railway Children. So, it was exciting to find out this Edwardian classic was having its Swiss debut near Geneva.

Urban Stages' Board of Directors and founding artistic director Frances Hill will celebrate 'The Magic of Theater by presenting the 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award to legendary actor Jim Date at their Gala Benefit.   The event will be held at the Boathouse in Central Park at 6:30PM on May 14, 2018. The award will be presented by stage and screen star Simon Jones (Farinelli and the King, The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy).

A series of fresh new plays and musicals are coming to Birmingham in the Human Rights New Works Festival at Red Mountain Theatre Company. You will be treated to a intimate format of staged readings with some of Birminghams top actors and singers. Festival runs March 15-18

Directors Guild of America President Thomas Schlamme today announced the DGA's nominees for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Television, Commercials and Documentary for 2017.

In celebration of its 20th anniversary Audible Books, whose mission is 'to unleash the power of the spoken word,' has launched The Narrator Hall of Fame honoring 'the voices that transform stories.'

Pasadena Playhouse, the State Theatre of California, has announced complete casting for their production of the original 1947 radio play of Miracle on 34th Street, which is being presented in honor of its 70th anniversary for a limited engagement of 14 performances from December 14 to 23 (press opening is December 15).

Urban Stages presents this year's award-winning series, WINTER RHYTHMS 2017, which begins tonight, December 12, featuring some of New York's best musical performances through Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Urban Stages Theatre (259 West 30th Street, just East of 8th Avenue).

China Broadway Entertainment announces its latest original global musical: Road to Heaven: The Jonathan Lee Musical. Adapted from the novel by internationally acclaimed author Li Xiuwen, the original musical will feature music by one of China's most iconic singer-songwriters Jonathan Lee.
