Mark hypnotizes with a set of enduring classics filtered through his youthful perspective and talent set. The show is distinctly new-age romantic, while still evocative of golden-age cinematic glamour. Backed by a stellar six-piece band led by musical director Clint Edwards, the show is directed by Preston and Richard Ridge.

A producer cannot just license any property s/he wants. Yes, MAME is available for licensing on the Concord Theatricals website, but if I wanted to mount it on Broadway it would be a little more complicated than shelling out cash. Hurdles for non-professional productions are not substantial, but many professional productions require levels of permission. Jerry Herman, who passed away on December 26, 2019, was a man unlikely to give permission for professional productions of his shows unless he thought they would be good.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 - the new intimate concert venue dubbed Broadway's 'off-night hotspot' by The New York Times - will present Andrea McArdle in her new show 'Broadway With a Little Holiday' on Sunday, December 15 and Friday, December 20, both at 7:00 PM. The orginal Annie star will perform songs from shows like Starlight Express, State Fair, Beauty and the Beast, and more, in addition to seasonal favorites and a handful of surprises. She will be joined by music director Steve Marzullo on piano.

Chita Rivera's two shows at Club Helsinki Saturday, November 16, 2019, have been cancelled. On doctors' orders, and as a result of an infection, Ms. Rivera must have bed rest for the next several weeks. A new date for the shows will be announced soon.
