Folsom's Harris Center for the Arts has announced new upcoming shows set for 2023.

The American Theatre Guild has announced single tickets to five engagements in the 22–23 BROADWAY AT THE BUDDY HOLLY HALL SERIES will go on sale Monday, October 17 at 10 a.m. All engagements will be held at The Buddy Holly Hall. 

Billy Idol is bringing his The Roadside Tour 2022, to the UK from 13th October. Killing Joke are delighted to be announced as special guests for the tour, after Television were forced to make a late withdrawal, alongside Billy’s other tour guest Toyah. iHeartRadio will broadcast the opening for a special live edition of “iHeartRadio ICONS with John Mellencamp” nationwide featuring a performance by Mellencamp at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Mellencamp will speak with iHeartMedia’s on air personality Jim Kerr about the exhibit and a very special tour announcement.

Westport Country Playhouse will stage the gripping tale of determination, hope, motivation, and inspiration, “From the Mississippi Delta,” written by Endesha Ida Mae Holland, Ph.D., and directed by Goldie E. Patrick, from October 18 - 30. The play was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize and won a Los Angeles Drama-Logue Award.

The Cage EP, the new release from Billy Idol, is out now via Dark Horse Records. This new music follows Idol’s 2021 The Roadside EP, which received praise from fans and critics alike. As on The Roadside EP, Idol is joined on the new project by his longtime collaborator, co-writer and guitarist Steve Stevens. Plus, check out upcoming tour dates!

BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present vocalist and pianist Steve Ross in a special new show “Autumn Serenades” on Monday, October 24 at 7:00 PM. Ross will sing a few mellow seasonal ballads, including “September in the Rain,” “Autumn Leaves,” “September Song,” and “When October Goes.”

Omnivore Recordings will release three special vinyl releases for Record Store Day Black Friday 2022. There will be limited vinyl releases for Janis Joplin and Jorma Kaukonen’s The Legendary Typewriter Tape: 6/25/64 Jorma’s House, Jonathan Richman & The Modern Lovers’ Jonathan Sings!, and Bobby Cole’s A Point Of View.

The Los Angeles premiere of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! directed by Daniel Fish opens Thursday, September 15 at 8 p.m. at Center Theatre Group / Ahmanson Theatre. The tour will mark the first time a First-Class Equity production of Oklahoma! has toured North America in more than 40 years. This bold interpretation will play through October 16.
