‘AA Side Single’ is a funk stomper, with a classic groove, squelchy bass, Tower Of Power style brass and Alison Limerick’s seductive vocals. With its lyrics “Won’t be your B-side, baby I’d rather not get played, I’m double A side single”, the track is all fun, vinyl-themed innuendo about having no intention of getting played.

Eric Firestone Gallery ushers in its fall season with its first solo show of works by postwar abstract painter Nina Yankowitz, whom the gallery now represents. Opening Friday, September 9 at 40 Great Jones Street, Can Women Have One Man Shows? comprises Yankowitz's Draped Paintings and Pleated Paintings series, bodies of work spanning the 1960s and 70s in which the artist created unstretched canvases hanging in loose folds, eschewing the conventional use of rigid frames and stretcher bars.

‘Scream’ is a syncopated groove wrapped by powerful Tower Of Power style horns and percussion, with lyrics that make a shout for freedom of expression. The track is the outcome of the pandemic on the band led by bassist and founder Lati Kronlund, who jammed, wrote and recorded music continuously together in their studio.

PRIMARY STAGES announced casting for On That Day in Amsterdam by Clarence Coo (People Sitting in Darkness) and directed by Zi Alikhan (The Boy Who Danced on Air). On That Day in Amsterdam will begin previews at 59E59’s Theater A on July 23, 2022, with opening night set for August 11 for a limited run through September 4, 2022.
