Carnegie Hall has announced its schedule of partner events presented by leading cultural and academic institutions across New York City and beyond from February through July 2026 as part of the Hall's United in Sound: America at 250 festival.

Rubicon Theatre Company will present the Tony Award-winning comedy thriller THE 39 STEPS, adapted from John Buchan's novel and Alfred Hitchcock's film. Directed by Jenny Sullivan and featuring Joseph Fuqua, the show runs from February 11 to March 1, 2026, at Rubicon Theatre in Ventura.

Long Beach Opera will present the bold Crash Out Queens: A Tiffany Townsend Recital on January 31 at 7:30pm and February 1 at 4pm,, developed in close collaboration with the company at the Altar Society, 230 Pine Avenue in Long Beach.  

Cellist Alisa Weilerstein will join Palm Beach Symphony for the Masterworks Series Concert at Dreyfoos Hall at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach.

The first four-actor stage adaptation of The 39 Steps was written by Corble and Dimon and first premiered in 1966. It was subsequently rewritten by Patrick Barlow in 2005. It is a favorite for community theatres around the world, but it first began its life as a 1915 novel by John Buchan, which was adapted by Alfred Hitchcock for his 1935 spy thriller film.

The University of Houston’s Moores Opera Center will launch its 2025–26 season with the world premiere of Hobson’s Choice, a new comic opera by acclaimed American composer Tom Cipullo, October 23–26 at the Moores Opera House.
