NINA-hunters rejoice… The new Museum of Broadway in Times Square's inaugural special exhibition, “The American Theatre As Seen By Hirschfeld,” has been extended, by popular demand.

Broadway director Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, Pretty Woman, Hairspray) will direct a London production of The Devil Wears Prada following a Chicago Pre-Broadway engagement.

The Entertainment Community Fund and Playwrights Horizons announced that New York City playwright Shayok Misha Chowdhury is the 2022 recipient of The Mark O’Donnell Prize, an annual prize presented to an emerging theater artist in recognition of her or his talent and promise.

WICKED, Miami's most popular musical, will make its anticipated return to Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County from February 15 through March 5, 2023. The Broadway sensation WICKED looks at what happened in the Land of Oz…but from a different angle. 

BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present the return of the Our Sinatra – the acclaimed musical revue celebrating the music of Frank Sinatra – on Monday, December 26 for three shows at 5:30 PM, 8:00 PM, and 10:00 PM.

Area Stage invites you to celebrate the spirit of Christmas with a heartwarming musical for the whole family! Based on the beloved 2003 Christmas comedy hit starring Will Ferrell, ELF JR will be performed by Area Stage Conservatory's student actors ages 6-15, and Area Stage's Inclusion Theatre project students with unique abilities. 

This year the FSCJ Artist Series will present its first Broadway show of the season, Elf the Musical, to help usher in the holidays. ELF will be performed at the Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts for eight (8) performances between December 6 and 11. 

Gas Lamp Players will bring Elf the Musical to Essex County as its annual Main Stage production. Four Shows will be staged at Ridgewood Avenue School Theater in Glen Ridge. Performances are Friday, December 9 at 8:00 p.m., Saturday December 10 at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., and Sunday, December 11 at 2:00 p.m.

Hairspray will bring its tour to Proctors next month. This new North American tour, helmed by original director Jack O'Brien and original choreographer Jerry Mitchell, will play Tuesday, December 6 - Sunday, December 11 in Schenectady at Proctors.

Emmaus, residents will embrace their inner “elf” when STAR OF THE DAY presents their production of Elf The Musical Jr. The show featuring STAR OF THE DAY youth performers opens on December 2nd running through the 11th with six performances scheduled on Friday and Saturday nights at 7pm, and Sunday matinees at 3pm.

Tony Award-winner Michele Pawk will join the cast of Wicked at Broadway's Gershwin Theatre, taking over the role of Madame Morrible beginning Monday, December 12.  Michael Wartella returned to the role of Boq, starting performances last evening, November 15.

HAIRSPRAY, Broadway's Tony Award-winning musical comedy phenomenon, will go on sale Friday, November 18 at 10am. This new North American tour, helmed by original director Jack O'Brien and original choreographer Jerry Mitchell, will play April 11 - 16, 2023 in Salt Lake City at the Eccles Theater. 

Laguna Playhouse and Lythgoe Family Panto has announced the full casting for its upcoming production of THE WONDERFUL WINTER OF OZ: A HOLIDAY PANTO, written by Kris Lythgoe, choreography by Mason Trueblood, musical direction by Andy Street and directed by Bonnie Lythgoe. 

RED BULL THEATER has announced that Lesli Margherita, Simon Pearl, Michael Pilato, and Vaden Thurgood have been added to the cast of their one-night-only benefit performance of the hit 1968 rock musical Your Own Thing.

The 2022 Non-Equity national tour of ELF THE MUSICAL launched November 5 in Paducah, KY, and will visit twelve U.S. cities throughout the holiday season including a stop in St. Louis at the Fabulous Fox Theatre December 20-24.

You Can't Stop the Beat! The Grand is proud to present the Wilmington engagement of the Tony Award-winning musical comedy phenomenon HAIRSPRAY at the historic Playhouse on Rodney Square from December 1 to December 4.

This production features a book by Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin, Music by Matthew Sklar, Lyrics by Chad Beguelin, and is based upon the New Line Cinema film written by David Berenbaum.
