With the new year just around the corner, many take time during the holiday season to reflect upon this past year as it comes to a close. While Broadway theaters began to open their doors, several streaming services opened their platforms to producing movie musicals. In celebration of the past year, here is a list of the best movie musicals from 2021 and where to watch them.

For me, an exciting evening in the theater and in the world of ballet.
The name Ballet'X' connotes a modern term denoting non-gendered, non-binary, and inclusivity. I instantly discerned that this company was on top of the latest consciousness, and has incorporated not only this, but the latest trend of mixing forms of dance together, the latest in staging and technology, and superbly trained young, up-and-coming dancers. The program for the evening consisted of three new works, by three diverse, world-renowned choreographers, all set on the dancers in the company.
This young company, based in Philadelphia, is amazingly together with an eclectic repertoire, presenting a clean, fully executed array of interesting choreography and interpretations.

For 20 years, Orfeh and Andy Karl have been making beautiful music together. But no need to take my word for it. You can check it out for yourself this week when they return to Feinstein’s 54 Below with their show LEGALLY BOUND. It is an encore presentation of the show they did in 2017 that’s been rethought for the post-lockdown world. The title is, of course, a play on words referring to Legally Blonde, one of several Broadway shows Andy and Orfeh have co-starred in.
