Chicago's longest-running storytelling collective, 2nd Story, is expanding its groundbreaking CultureBuilds program with the announcement of two virtual “pay-what-you-feel” public programs.

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival announced today David Schmitz will become its fourth executive director in fall 2020. Schmitz succeeds Cynthia Rider, who held the position from 2013 through 2018, and Paul Christy, who became acting executive director in January 2019 and has been leading the Festival's transition throughout the executive search period. Schmitz has worked at Steppenwolf Theatre for the past 15 years, serving in the role of Director of Finance and Administration, General Manager, Managing Director, and currently as Executive Director. 

Film at Lincoln Center announced today that the 58th New York Film Festival (NYFF), taking place from September 25th through October 11th, will feature changes to the festival's programming structure and new selection committee and advisory roles. Executive Chef Pinyo Saewu has been an integral part of Hakkasan Las Vegas' team for seven years, starting as a senior sous chef when the restaurant opened in 2013. He was promoted to the position of chef de cuisine in 2018 and finally was appointed as executive chef in 2020.
