The French Institute Alliance Fran aise (FIAF), New York's premier French cultural and language center, today announced the 2019 Crossing the Line Festival, featuring 11 performances and a gallery exhibition from a geographically, generationally, and artistically diverse group of artists whose work transcends genres and boundaries. Internationally-acclaimed violinist Tai Murray joins Michael Repper and the New York Youth Symphony Orchestra in their 56th season McCrindle Concert at Carnegie Hall on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 2PM in a performance of Korngold's Violin Concerto. Ms. Murray is a former BBC young generation artist, member of the Marlboro Festival and of Lincoln Center's Chamber Music Society, and has previously performed with orchestras such as Chicago Symphony, Atlanta Symphony, and BBC Symphony Orchestra. Black Box Acting, Chicago's premier actor training program, today announced a change in ownership. Andrew Cutler, Amanda Fink and Eric Gerard will succeed co-founders and longtime co-owners Audrey Francis and Laura Hooper. Black Box will remain at its current headquarters at 2625 W. North Ave. near Chicago's Logan Square, Wicker Park and West Town neighborhoods. Francis and Hooper will remain active in the organization.

In celebration of its 15th anniversary season next year, Ragged Wing Ensemble is pleased to present TIME SENSITIVE, with an updated script written and directed by the company's Artistic Director Amy Sass. Time Sensitive opens in preview on Friday, April 5, 2019, and runs through May 4. Opening night is scheduled for Saturday, April 6. Goodman Theatre adds to its 2018/2019 Season a limited engagement of St. Nicholas-an internationally-acclaimed major revival by London's Donmar Warehouse of Conor McPherson's 1997 intimate thriller, directed by Simon Evans. The monologue play stars Olivier Award-winning actor Brendan Coyle ("Mr. Bates" of the smash sensation Downton Abbey, for which he earned an Emmy Award nomination) in "a superlative, mesmerizing performance that's simply not to be missed" (The Arts Review). The U.S. premiere, which appears in the Goodman's 350-seat flexible Owen Theatre, follows two acclaimed recent appearances at the Donmar Warehouse and the Dublin Theatre Festival.
