Playwrights Horizons (Artistic Director Tim Sanford, Managing Director Leslie Marcus) today announced the cast and creative team of Unknown Soldier, a sweeping, elegiac chamber musical that melts time, spanning three generations as it follows a woman's journey to unearth the secrets buried in her family's past. With a book and lyrics by Daniel Goldstein, making his New York writing debut, Unknown Soldier is also the last work from the late, beloved Michael Friedman (music and lyrics) to be premiered in the city. Together, they created a work that profoundly illustrates the search into the existences of those who've passed, connecting the love and loss, hope and regret of two womena?'and a country forever scarred by wara?'across a century. Unknown Soldier follows Ellen Rabinowitz, a woman who's inherited her grandmother's homea?'and with it, a clue that her understanding of her family and of herself are incomplete. Directed by Trip Cullman and choreographed by Patrick McCollum, this New York premiere production will take place in the Mainstage Theater at Playwrights Horizons (416 West 42nd Street), February 14-March 29, 2020.

Nashville based artist Andrew Combs has shared the video for his latest single, 'Dry Eyes', which premiered with Rolling Stone Country. The release comes ahead of a string of European tour dates, including a show at London's The Lexington on December 10th.

Today, Maryland-raised rapper IDK (Ignorantly Delivering Knowledge) releases his debut album, Is He Real?. The album arrives via his own label Clue and Warner Records; it includes previous releases '24,' which appears on this year's Madden NFL 20 soundtrack, and 'Digital,' which appears on the NBA 2K20 soundtrack. 

Andrew Combs is set to release his new album, Ideal Man, on September 20th via New West Records. The 11-song set was produced by Sam Cohen (Kevin Morby, Benjamin Booker). Captured live in Cohen's Brooklyn studio, Ideal Man also features Combs' long-time collaborators, drummer Dom Billet and guitarist/keyboardist/bassist Jerry Bernhardt.

The visual depicts the rapper in various states of luxury, including a Wall Street broker, football player and a mob boss. The track was featured as a World Record on Zane Lowe's Apple Music radio show yesterday, where it was praised for being 'such a centerpiece of energy and power.' The song will also be on this year's highly-anticipated Madden NFL 20 soundtrack.
