At first glance, Travesties may seem to be a nearly impossible work to crack. Traversing literary styles and references, delving headfirst into the history of World War I and the Russian Revolution, and pitting dense intellectual arguments on the meaning and purpose of art against each other, Tom Stoppard's absurdist and avant-garde play can seem hopelessly out of reach for anyone who isn't an expert in these particular topics. But Stoppard has created a roadmap that allows his audiences to untangle the characters, plotlines, and references of Travesties as they watch, and his first clue for doing so is provided in the title of the play itself. What exactly, then, is a travesty?

Symphony Space's highly interactive Thalia Kids' Book Club series, produced in cooperation with Bank Street Bookstore, unites avid readers with the authors, illustrators, and books that inspire their imaginations. Each event includes a creative writing project, a discussion with the audience, a performance from the book, and a book-signing. The 16th Annual Garden State Film Festival is thrilled to welcome award-winning veteran actor Christopher Lloyd to their spectacular four-day 16th Anniversary event in Asbury Park this year from March 22-25th! Mr. Lloyd will be in on hand the entire weekend to support the East Coast debut of his new feature film 'Making A Killing,' a twisted modern-day crime mystery, based on a true story. The film is scheduled to screen on Saturday March 24th from 8:00-10:00 p.m. at the Jersey Shore Arts Center in Ocean Grove, after which Mr. Lloyd will be presented with GSFF's 'Beacon Award.'

The show reached a total of 2.4 million individuals resulting in a further two six-part series in Northern Europe and Asia being commissioned and with episodes increasing in length from 30 to 60 minutes.
