King Experience, the band's new working name. BoHo Theatre has announced its 16th season, featuring fresh looks at a pair of classic stories. BoHo's 2020 season will feature the musical FALSETTOS by William Finn and James Lapine, followed by Jeffrey Hatcher's new adaptation of Frederick Knott's riveting thriller WAIT UNTIL DARK. BoHo will also continue its partnership with Northwestern University's Next Step Program by staging a reading of a new play by student Nate Hollander.

Loghaven Artist Residency, a newly created residency for emerging and established artists in the fields of visual art, dance, music, writing, theater, and interdisciplinary work, announces its first group of artists and the completion of its campus. The launch of Loghaven Artist Residency is the culmination of years of planning, research, design, and input from artists, arts leaders, and the Alliance of Artist Communities.

The New Jersey Youth Symphony (NJYS) presents a concert focused on women composers featuring five of its ensembles on Sunday, January 26 at 4:00pm at Princeton University's Richardson Auditorium (68 Nassau Street, Princeton). The NJYS Youth Symphony led by Helen H. Cha-Pyo, Youth Orchestra led by Simon Lipskar, Fortissimo Flutes led by Diana Charos-Reilly, and CL4tet and Clarinet Ensemble led by Bryan Rudderow will perform works by Yvonne Desportes and Ann Holler as well as Julia Perry's Short Piece for Large Orchestra and Florence Price's Symphony No. 3 in C minor. With the topic of illegal immigration so prevalent in today's news, now is the perfect time to take a very personal look at the trials and tribulations of those who immigrated, both legally and illegally, to our country in THE NEW COLOSSUS, a new play co-written by The Actors' Gang ensemble and its Artistic Director Tim Robbins, who also directs the production. In it, twelve of the acting troupe's members tell their ancestors' stories, reflecting their great diversity, struggles and journeys from oppression to freedom, a real personal testament celebrating the courage and great character of the refugees who came to this country throughout the last 200 years.

After an astounding career playing bass and singing for a range of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame artists like Don Felder of The Eagles to the legendary Chicago, Jeff Coffey continues his solo career with his new album Origins: Singers and Songs that Made Me which is a collection of covers of songs that influenced Coffey in his musicianship as well as personal life. Among these is his cover of Kenny Loggins`s 1979 smash hit “This Is It” in which Coffey stays faithful to the original while not being afraid to add his own style to a section or two. The single will be released on this Friday, January 10th.

KYO-SHIN-AN ARTS continues its 11th season of chamber concerts combining Japanese and Western instruments with WINTER LIGHT featuring Duo Yumeno (Yoko Reikano Kimura, koto and Hikaru Tamaki, cello) plus David Yang, viola and James Nyoraku Schlefer, shakuhachi. Duos, trios and quartets with KSA commissions by Debra Kaye and Salina Fisher.

In his directorial debut with the Handel and Haydn Society, keyboardist Kristian Bezuidenhout will lead one of America's oldest performing arts institutions in Beethoven's Third Piano Concerto on Friday, February 14, 2020, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, February 16, 2020, at 3 p.m. at the New England Conservatory's Jordan Hall.

Jordan earned national stature in the 1970's as a member of the House Judiciary Committee that considered articles of impeachment against Richard Nixon and as the keynote speaker of the 1976 Democratic National Convention. Kristine Thatcher, who is City Lit's playwright-in-residence, was nominated for Best New Work in the 2019 Jeff Awards for her play, THE SAFE HOUSE, which premiered at City Lit last fall. VOICE OF GOOD HOPE premiered at Victory Gardens Theater in 2000 and has been produced across the US since then.

Created by David Commander (Steve Of Tomorrow, Big Art Group) and Rob Ramirez (Cycling '74), Fear in the Western World looks at the apparatus of fear and how both the repulsion and compulsion towards guns play into their power to oppress. Written and directed by Commander, Fear in the Western World runs January 2-19 at Target Margin Theater's THE DOXSEE as part of TMT Presents and The Exponential Festival. It opens on January 5.

InterSchool Orchestras of New York and the Mingus Dynasty are collaborating to present MINGUS.  This concert features never-before-heard full orchestra arrangements of popular Mingus tunes arranged by Earl McIntyre.  It will also feature solo performances by the Mingus Dynasty.

Award-winning actress and filmmaker Isabella Rossellini takes inspiration from the natural world in her new theatricalized lecture, Link Link Circus, a smart yet comedic look at the links between humans and animals. Illustrated with short comic films, home movies, and animation, Link Link Circus addresses the latest scientific discoveries about animal minds, intelligence, and emotions. Joined onstage by various animals portrayed by Pan, her trained dog, Rossellini transforms herself into Aristotle, Descartes, F.S. Skinner, Charles Darwin, and more, to deliver a vivid monologue about the brilliance of the animal kingdom.

Hailed as 'the best party in town,' by New York's Cabaret Scenes Magazine, The Nitz/ Howe Experience marked a major milestone in September, 2019. Celebrating its 20th year anniversary, with over 1200 shows at their home base of Chicago's Davenport's, it became the longest running cabaret show in the country.

The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage's 2019/20 Celebrity Opera Series commences with Diana Damrau (soprano) and Nicolas Testé (bass) on Saturday, May 16, 2020. James Conlon, Music Director of the Los Angeles Opera (since 2006) and Principal Conductor of the RAI National Symphony Orchestra in Torino, Italy (since 2016), conducts the orchestra.

Tony Award nominee Jeff McCarthy will step in to replace previously announced Will Swenson in the title role in Stephen Sondheim's masterpiece musical thriller SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET in a co-production by The Noorda Center for the Performing Arts and Utah Repertory Theater Company onstage at Utah Valley University Oct. 24-Nov. 9.

Lyric Opera of Kansas City today announced a rare opportunity to see a master at work when world-renowned soprano Carol Vaness teaches a Master Class with the Lyric Opera Resident and Apprentice Artists on Sat., Oct. 5 at 4 p.m. in Lyric Opera's Michael and Ginger Frost Production Arts Building (712 E. 18th St., Kansas City, MO 64108). Currently a vocal instructor at Indiana University and Aspen Music Festival, Vaness will lead each singer through a selected aria, stopping and correcting as needed, to help hone the singer's vocal technique and dramatic interpretation. A brief reception will follow the vocal work session.
