San Diego Opera's 2022-2023 Season continues with The Puccini Duo: a double-bill of the tragic Suor Angelica and the witty comic opera Gianni Schicchi on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the San Diego Civic Theatre for four performances.

 Chart-topping vocalist Jackie Evancho will perform music from her album Carousel of Time featuring songs by Joni Mitchell on Sunday October 16 at City Winery Boston. The York Theatre Company will honor Tony Award-winning musical theater icon Leslie Uggams (Hallelujah, Baby!, Anything Goes, Thoroughly Modern Millie) with the 2022 Oscar Hammerstein Award for Outstanding Achievement in Musical Theater and Ted Chapin with The York Theatre Company Founders’ Award at the 30th Oscar Hammerstein Award Gala.

In support of her new album, Jackie Evancho: Carousel of Time, honoring the timeless music of Joni Mitchell, Jackie Evancho will perform a select number of shows dedicated to the  music from the album. 

Jonathan Groff will star as “Franklin” and Lindsay Mendez will star as “Mary” in Merrily We Roll Along at New York Theatre Workshop. Merrily We Roll Along features music & lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and a book by George Furth. They join the previously announced Daniel Radcliffe, who will star as “Charley”.

New York City Ballet will present its tenth annual Fall Fashion Gala on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 7pm at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center. This year’s event will honor Sarah Jessica Parker, a vice chair of the NYCB Board of Directors, who conceived the Fall Fashion Gala in 2012.

BSC Associate Artist Mark H. Dold, BSC Associate Artist Christopher Innvar and more will star in Barrington Stage Company's new production of Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot.

Evancho has been working on a musical panegyric of Joni Mitchell for some time. Closures from the pandemic led to the album's delay. Jackie Evancho - Carousel of Time, will be released late summer of this year, with at least 2 more singles slated for release on digital streaming platforms ahead of the full-length album. Mercury Theater Chicago has announced Kristi J. Martens as its new managing director. Martens, who has been the production stage manager at Mercury Theater Chicago for the past ten years, joins the leadership team of Artistic Director Christopher Chase Carter and Executive Producers L. Walter Stearns and Eugene Dizon.
