SING ALONG! with Eric Hutchinson is the artist’s eighth studio release and his first new work since the fierce global reckoning with racism that was illuminated by the historic actions of the Black Lives Matter movement. “The Littlest Candle” and “Hey Look I Found It! (My Inner Peace)” are joyful tracks featured on the EP.

SING ALONG! was heavily inspired by Black artists like Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Big Bill Broonzy and Elizabeth Cotten, as well as the recorded works of Alan Lomax, an American ethnomusicologist, best known for his numerous field recordings, which played an important role in preserving the folk music traditions of the early 20th century.

Chris Barber OBE is one of the last British Jazz legends around and an icon of traditional jazz in the United Kingdom. This season he starts celebrating his 65th Anniversary as leader of his band on a full-time professional basis and 70th Anniversary on starting his musical career. He will be performing together with The Big Chris Barber Band at the Pavilion Theatre on Friday the 28 June at 7:30pm.

In what would have been the 50th year of Rory Gallagher's recording career, UMC are pleased to announce the release of 'BLUES' on Friday 31st May. From the vaults of the Gallagher estate's tape archive comes this collection of rare and unreleased recordings of Rory playing his favourite blues material. Ranging from never heard before tracks to special guest sessions with legendary blues artists (Muddy Waters / Albert King) and lost radio sessions, this album uncovers Rory's love of the blues throughout his solo career from 1971 right through to 1994.

Tim O'Brien recently announced a headlong leap back into traditional bluegrass with his new full-length album, Tim O'Brien Band. Due for release on March 15, 2019, Tim O'Brien Band, the title a sly nod to traditional music's often eponymous band names, is a collection of not just old-school leaning music, but also of world-class musicians perfectly aligned in intention and ability. In addition to Tim, Mike Bub (bass), Shad Cobb (fiddle),Jan Fabricius (vocals/mandolin) and Patrick Sauber (banjo/guitar) make up this unstoppable band, who, from recent live performances, may be familiar to Tim O'Brien fans. Tim says, “This crew has the potential to make ten more records together and never reach the limit of the possibilities.” The only guest on the recording is O'Brien's Hot Rize bandmate Bryan Sutton, who lends his distinctive guitar playing to two tracks.

Alec Baldwin and Kelli O'Hara will star in Westport Country Playhouse's Spring Gala performance of A. R. Gurney's play, 'Love Letters,' on Thursday, April 12, at 7 p.m. The one-night-only, $250 per ticket fundraising event will honor the memory of playwright A. R. 'Pete' Gurney, who was a consistent contributor to the Playhouse stage, with 21 works produced there from 1980 through 2016. Gurney died last June at age 86.

When I found out John Mayall "The Godfather of British Blues" was going to be at The Broad Stage in Santa Monica on Friday, August 25, I rushed to get tickets to be in the presence of the man who directly influenced generations of the greatest musicians of all time during his impressive musical career spanning more than 50 years. What a treat it was to listen as Mayall, along with Jay Davenport on drums and Greg Rzab on bass, delivered a career retrospective with new slants and sounds to showcase his monumental life as a master of blues music.
