Birdland Jazz Club and Birdland Theater have announced programming for January 19 through February 1. Highlights include Ms. Lisa Fischer featuring the Orrin Evans Trio, The Mingus Big Band, Emma Smith Quartet, and return engagements by Vince Giordano & The Nighthawks and Jim Caruso’s Cast Party.

Following a sold-out workshop residency at the Gramercy Theatre, Silver Manhattan by world-renowned singer-songwriter Jesse Malin is set to move Off-Broadway for an exclusive, limited six-week engagement.

Long Beach Opera will present the bold Crash Out Queens: A Tiffany Townsend Recital on January 31 at 7:30pm and February 1 at 4pm,, developed in close collaboration with the company at the Altar Society, 230 Pine Avenue in Long Beach.
