The Pulitzer Prize Board has just announced that English, by Sanaz Toossi has won the 2023 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Other finalists included: On Sugarland by Aleshea Harris and The Far Country by Lloyd Suh.

English singer, songwriter and presenter Louise Redknapp will play Teen Angel in Jim Jacobs & Warren Casey's iconic musical GREASE, which returns to the Dominion Theatre in London's West End from 2 June 2023. Redknapp will perform from 2 June until 29 July, excluding Mondays.

With only 8 weeks to go, Jim Jacobs & Warren Casey's iconic musical GREASE, has so far been seen by over 250,000 people in the West End making it the Dominion Theatre's most successful summer run since We Will Rock You. GREASE began previews on 3 May 2022 with an official opening on 17 May 2022. The musical last played the Dominion Theatre 26 years ago, closing in 1996, and was as popular and busy this time round, as it was then. 

The Finborough Theatre's new digital initiative #FinboroughFrontier continues with a unique rediscovery from Ukraine – an online premiere reading from leading Soviet-Ukrainian playwright Oleksii Kolomiiets, written in 1965, premiering FREE-TO-VIEW on the Finborough YouTube channel on Monday, 12 September at 6.00pm, and concurrently with subtitles on Scenesaver.

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the musical’s Broadway opening, this production of Grease is directed and choreographed by Lisa Stevens, whose resume includes the revivals of Chicago on Broadway and the West End and Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5 The Musical. 

There is always plenty of nostalgia around GREASE, something which Drew Anthony Creative’s latest production was more than happy to tap into. The on stage cast shouldered the responsibility themselves and put on an outstanding show at an interesting and exciting new theatre in Northbridge.

Audiences are in for a treat with this high-energy revival of the crowd-pleasing hit, which welcomes a new generation of talent to the stage.

New Earth Theatre today announce the cast for Tsunagu/Connect Live, created by Kumiko Mendl and Kazuko Hohki. This theatre production was developed in response to an oral history project launched in 2020, that conducted over 30 interviews with Japanese women living in the UK.
