Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, a new play by Jack Thorne is coming to San Francisco's Curran in the Fall of 2019. With record-breaking productions currently running in London and New York as well as an Australian production set to premiere in Melbourne in early 2019, the San Francisco production will mark the fourth engagement of the smash hit play, as well as its West Coast premiere in North America.



Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the most awarded production in the history of Britain's Olivier Awards, winning a record-breaking nine awards including Best New Play and Best Director. The production has won 24 major theatre awards in the UK since opening in July 2016 in London. It made its Broadway premiere in April 2018, and is the most awarded show of the season, winning 25 awards in total, including six Tony Awards.



Written by BAFTA, Tony and Olivier award-winner Jack Thorne and directed by Olivier and Tony award-winner John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the eighth story in the Harry Potter series and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage, bringing together some of the most exciting talent working in the theatre today.

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presented "Broadway is 850 Strong," a benefit concert for the victims of Hurricane Michael on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 9:30 pm. The Florida Panhandle was completely devastated by the catastrophic effects of Hurricane Michael. Michael was one of the strongest storms ever to make landfall in the United States. The Panhandle, which is area code 850, took a direct hit. Thousands of people lost their homes, schools and hospitals were destroyed, and area businesses were obliterated.

Celebrating its 10th edition this year, Boston Calling unveils a lineup of epic proportions - from music to comedy to dance. The internationally acclaimed and locally grown music festival takes place Memorial Day weekend, May 24 - 26, 2019 at the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston, MA (65 North Harvard Street, Boston). Headlined by Twenty One Pilots, Travis Scott, and Tame Impala, Boston Calling 2019 will present more than 55 performances from musicians, bands, and comedians across its four stages. This year, the festival's indoor arena will also showcase an all-star lineup of comedy, headlined by Michael Che, Jenny Slate, and Fred Armisen. Overall, the lineup boasts seven 2019 Grammy nominees including Anderson .Paak, Janelle Monae, and Brandi Carlile, who is nominated for six awards. The world premiere of Leave to Remain, a new play with songs by Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke and writer Matt Jones (Doctor Who, Mr Selfridge), runs 18 January - 16 February 2019 at the Lyric Hammersmith. Kele has written 14 original new tracks for the show and the soundtrack will be released on press night, Thursday 24 January 2019.
