Roundabout Theatre Company has revealed the 2024 Roundabout Underground Reading Series, a five-night event that includes nightly readings of new works written by emerging artists, with post-show receptions.

Past recipients of the Golden Eddie include Spike Lee, Quentin Tarantino, Kathleen Kennedy, Christopher Nolan, Lauren Shuler Donner, Gina Prince-Bythewood, Guillermo del Toro, Vince Gilligan, J.J. Abrams, Nancy Meyers, Martin Scorsese, Norman Jewison, Robert Zemeckis, George Lucas, and the Sundance Institute, among others.

Grove Productions, Fringe Management LLC and Adelaide’s Joanne Hartstone will present the Australian premiere season of the acclaimed US production, The Portable Dorothy Parker, from 13 February to 17 March at The Arch, Holden Street Theatres, Hindmarsh.

For those unaware, The Machine Killer Tour is a reunion that is over two decades in the making and goes all the way back to 1999. Sevendust, Static-X, & DOPE were each exploding onto the scene and partnered up to create one of the most memorable tours of that year. Now 25 years later, the bands are returning for Leg 2 and Leg 3.

For the first time in eight years, the Tony and Olivier Award-winning comedy, THE 39 STEPS, is to tour the UK this year.  The production will initially play at Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch from 14 to 30 March 2024.  The production will then tour from Tuesday 2 April, with a Gala Night on Thursday 4 April at Richmond Theatre in London.

Boxcar Theatre has announced the reopening of the hit immersive show, THE SPEAKEASY: AGE OF SCOFFLAWS, in a limited run, April 4 – June 23, 2024. Marking its ten-year anniversary, the celebrated show transports audiences back to the Roaring 1920s inside an intricately designed space complete with a two-story cabaret, three bars and a casino, as well as secret passageways and disguised entrances.

Celebrated pianist, composer, and writer Sir Stephen Hough, performs the world premiere of his first Piano Concerto, “The World of Yesterday,” with the Utah Symphony conducted by Sir Donald Runnicles on Friday, January 12 and Saturday, January 13 at 7:30 p.m. at Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake City.
