Tacoma Musical Playhouse announces auditions for African-American singer/actors, age 16 and older, for the region's first, locally-produced production of THE COLOR PURPLE!
Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 7 pmAuditions will be held at TMP - 7116 6th Avenue, Tacoma, WA 98406
Email maria@tmp.org for an appointment. (Include full name, age and good contact number)Prepare two contrasting songs from musical theater. Bring sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist is provided. No a cappella or recorded accompaniment auditions. An appointment is required to audition at TMP. Please do not sing songs from the show. There will be 15 performances of this production.
March 9 - April 1, 2012
Fridays & Saturday at 8 pm; Sundays at 2pm
Saturday March 24 & 31 at 2 pm
Special Mid-Week School Group Matinee: March 14th at 9:30 amRehearsals will begin approximately January 23, 2012.CALLBACK AUDITIONS WILL TAKE PLACE IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE GENERAL AUDITION AT 7 PM.
Actors who auditioned at the July Season General Auditions will not need to re-audition.
Parents of interested African-American youth actors age 8-15 years old should email with the following information:

· Headshot or current photo
