Hip Hop Dance Auditions Held At STG 5/15, 5/17

Seattle Theatre Group (STG) will host hip hop auditions on Saturday, May 15 and Monday, May 17 for STG's 12th annual DANCE This.

WHO: Advanced hip hop dancers, ages 14-22.

WHAT: Seeking advance hip hop dancers to perform in a piece created by Napoleon and Tabitha D'Umo (choreographers and judges of FOX's So You Think You Can Dance) for STG's 12th Annual DANCE This.

Selected dancers will rehearse intensively May 28-30 with Napoleon and Tabitha D'Umo, then perform in DANCE This on July 9th and 10th.

WHEN:
Saturday, May 15
6:00pm - 8:30pm (sign in at 5:30pm)
Westlake Dance Center (10701 8th Ave NE)

Monday, May 17
6:15pm - 8:30pm (sign in at 5:45pm)
The Moore Theatre

REGISTRATION REQUIRED TO AUDITION:
Please send Name, Age, Dance School, Email, Phone to LizY@STGpresents.org or call (206)315-8009.

Auditions will include a brief warm-up followed by hip hop combinations taught by Nick &Anna Golla. Please wear hip hop dance clothing you feel comfortable in with sneakers or jazz shoes.

Rehearsal and performance commitment includes:
(dancers must be available for rehearsals and performances to audition)
*May 28 - 30, intensive all day rehearsals (with Napoleon & Tabitha)
*June 1 - July 3, ongoing rehearsals with Nick & Anna Golla)
*July 1, noon-1:30pm, Preview Performance at Seattle City Hall
*July 3-10, intensive day/evening rehearsals in Seattle
*July 9, Student Matinee at The Paramount
*July 10, Public Performance at The Paramount

DANCE This is an annual youth training and performance program produced by Seattle Theatre Group. The performance brings together teen performers from diverse communities for collaboration and to share their culture through the art of dance.
