This sunny, funny, sensational story, with a book by Catherine Johnson, is told through the magic of ABBA's timeless music and explosive dance numbers.  New Village Arts is thrilled to announce the upcoming production of AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS, written by Laura Eason, from the novel by Jules Verne. Directed by NVA Executive Artistic Director Kristianne Kurner, this production will feature original music from San Diego's own Pirate-themed folk-rock band, The Shantyannes (Joseph Freeman and Renee Moreno), with arrangements by Tony Houck, who also serves as Music Director for the production. This is an exciting, witty, and action-packed new adaptation of the classic story.

Bodhi Tree Concerts brings its award-winning special holiday performance, All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914, back to the Veterans' Museum in Balboa Park for the third time since its premiere there in 2016. Conducted by Sacra/Profana's Juan Carlos Acosta, All Is Calm opens on Friday, November 15, with additional performances November 16 and 17. All profits will directly benefit the Veterans' Museum.
